Just as Shi Yan was completely absorbed in the moment, she suddenly heard Wang Hu exclaim in surprise, "Yan'er, look at all this mud! You're so dirty!" These words were like a bolt from the blue, instantly shattering the previously harmonious and beautiful atmosphere. For any woman, being commented on like this to her face is extremely embarrassing. Although Shi Yan knew that Wang Hu was just joking with her, her cheeks still involuntarily flushed red, a mixture of shyness and annoyance.
However, Shi Yan wasn't the type to give up easily. She reacted immediately and swiftly retaliated. She sat up abruptly, glared at Wang Hu playfully, and muttered, "Hmph, you think I'm dirty? Who was kissing me so enthusiastically just now!" As she spoke, she reached out and pinched Wang Hu's thigh hard, wanting to teach him a small lesson to avenge the teasing she had just received.
And so, the two chased each other around the bathroom, laughing and joking. For a while, the bathroom was filled with laughter and a lively atmosphere. After a bit of playful tussle, they finally ended their fun "battle" and rinsed off the remaining soap and grime. When they finally emerged from the bathroom, they realized that quite a bit of time had passed; a glance at the clock showed it was almost seven o'clock.
The two quickly dressed, tidied their hair, put on masks, and walked side by side to the front desk to pay and leave. All the way, they kept reminiscing about the funny scenes that had happened while showering, their faces beaming with happy smiles.
When it came time to pay, Shi Yan took out her wallet to pay again. The owner was nowhere to be found; only the owner's wife remained in the shop.
The proprietress stared at Shi Yan in front of her, a feeling of inexplicable familiarity welling up in her heart, but for a moment she couldn't remember where she had seen this person before.
Finally, as Shi Yan turned to leave, the proprietress watched her receding figure and her memories were suddenly awakened. She suddenly remembered who Shi Yan really was.
However, at that moment, the proprietress's gaze fell on Wang Hu, who was tall and imposing, following behind Shi Yan. The sense of certainty that had just risen in her heart instantly became blurred again, and she began to doubt whether she had mistaken him for someone else.
Instead of rushing home, the two leisurely rode their bicycles and strolled slowly along the shops in town that were still open.
After all, it's already so late. If we're just going to go back like this, we need to come up with a good reason to explain it.
Along the way, Shi Yan stopped frequently, carefully selecting various items. In the end, she bought several beautiful outfits for her daughter, as well as a lot of delicious snacks and fun toys, filling several large bags with all sorts of things!
However, as she bought more and more things, the bicycle simply couldn't hold any more. Shi Yan had no choice but to stop. Initially, she only planned to buy one new dress for her daughter, but Wang Hu kept complaining that the items were too cheap and kept urging Shi Yan to buy more.
After the entire bill was settled, it turned out that all the items had cost less than a thousand yuan. Wang Hu paid the money and, somewhat reluctantly, said, "How about we buy something else?"
Shi Yan rolled her eyes at him and replied irritably, "Do you think you can carry all that back? Just these few big bags will be a problem to get home safely!"
Wang Hu said, "What should we do? This is the first time I've bought something for your daughter, and this is all I've bought. It's a bit embarrassing!"
Shi Yan said, "Alright, she's at the age where she should be in school. If you buy her so many toys, she'll come looking for you when her grades drop!"
Wang Hu said, "Your daughter is my daughter too. At worst, I'll support her for the rest of my life. Besides, girls should be raised in comfort. Otherwise, wouldn't you be heartbroken if someone tricked you out of her with a bag of spicy snacks?"
Looking at the pile of small electric scooters hanging all over the place, Shi Yan exclaimed, "There's just no more room for them!"
Wang Hu saw that it was indeed true and finally decided not to buy it. Wang Hu took her and a cart full of things back to the village. When they reached the village entrance, Wang Hu stopped and let her ride her bike back by herself while he walked.
