Chapter 6 Behind the Adultery

Ever since my mother passed away, I have hardly ever been to this sad place. Everything before my eyes is a scene that I have dreamt of thousands of times!

Although she felt emotional, she did not dare to stay and hurriedly pushed open the gate. Strangely, there was no one there, and the servant who was on night watch had gone somewhere. She was slightly relieved. Seeing that the light in her mother's room was still on, the light was so warm. An Qingran wiped the corners of her eyes with her sleeve and pushed open the door. The air in the room was filled with a sweet fragrance, which was the lily scent that her mother loved the most...

"Mom..." An Qingran cried out tremblingly.

No response.

The black jade bamboo screen separated the inner room. An Qingran hurriedly turned in and saw her mother lying on the bed with her clothes in disarray. Next to her was a man who had taken off all his clothes except for a pair of white pants! The rest of his clothes were scattered all over the floor. An Qingran looked and saw that it was her cousin Ye Hen!

Back then, my aunt said that my mother was caught committing adultery with my cousin Ye Hen. My aunt also told her that my cousin was extremely arrogant at the time and asked my father to let my mother go and wanted my mother to leave with him. She said that she had never seen anyone who was so self-righteous as a thief...

An Qingran saw two people lying motionless on the bed. She called out a few times, but there was no response at all. She understood in her heart that it was just as she thought!

There is clearly something behind this matter!

She pushed a few times, but her mother still didn't respond. She turned around, picked up the basin of water, and poured it over the two people on the bed. The water hit the bed and bounced back, splashing her face. An Qingran didn't care and shook her mother. Finally, Lian Jinyu opened her eyes and looked at her in confusion: "Ran'er, why are you here?"

An Qingran said, "Mother, don't talk about this for now...Uncle, you should get up soon..."

She pulled Ye Hen up through her mother: "Uncle, wake up..."

"How could this happen? What's going on? Ye Hen, why are you here?" Lian Jinyu asked puzzledly as he hurriedly tidied his clothes.

"Mother, hurry up..." An Qingran wrapped a cloud-patterned brocade cotton robe directly around her and pushed her behind the screen. She turned around and looked at Ye Hen and said anxiously, "Uncle, hurry up!"

Ye Hen was such a man that he knew at a glance that he had been ambushed. He put on his clothes in a hurry, frowned, and looked at An Qingran with a cold voice: "Fortunately you arrived in time... Who was behind this?"

An Qingran sighed: "Let's talk about these things later. Uncle, please leave quickly and go out the back door...Don't let anyone see you!"

Ye Hen knew that the matter was urgent, so he didn't say much. He just looked back before leaving, picked up the jade belt that fell on the bed, looked at An Qingran worriedly, wanted to say something, but finally sighed, pushed the door open hastily, and turned to the back door.

Lian Jinyu said from behind the screen: "Qingran, luckily you came, otherwise I can't explain what happened today...but why are you here?"

An Qingran turned around the screen, picked up the towel to help wipe her hair, and as she wiped, she threw the towel away and hugged Lian Jinyu's waist from behind, saying faintly: "My daughter missed her mother... so she came to see her mother!"

An Qingran was touched. Her good mother really did not let her down. This matter was really an injustice. She even wanted to laugh, but when she smelled her mother's scent, her nose felt sour...
