Chapter 206: Like an Old Couple

Chapter 206: Like an Old Couple

"Me too."

Gu Yan struggled out of his arms and said, "Your clothes are covered in snow. Take them off quickly, or they will melt and seep into your clothes."

Lu Ye then lowered his head and looked at the neat and clean ground where he had left several footprints.

He quickly took off his shoes and stepped on the ground barefoot.

Gu Yan was speechless, "Won't your feet be cold?"

"The ground is all dirty from my steps."

"Wipe it again." Gu Yan got up and went to the small bathroom next door to get a mop. She said, "Aye, change your clothes quickly and warm yourself by the fire. Don't catch a cold."

Lu Ye was in a trance for a moment because of Gu Yan's familiar and gentle tone, as if the two of them were a couple who had been married for many years, just like an old married couple.

The halo of light in the room shone on Gu Yan's face, giving her already beautiful face a layer of warm golden light.

Although they had already confirmed their relationship, Lu Ye still felt his heart skip a beat at this moment. For the first time, he said "oh" a little slowly, then took off his coat and hung it on the clothes hanger at the door. He also placed the backpack he brought back at the foot of the wall.

Then he walked to the closet in the bedroom and put on his slippers.

Lu Ye was about to take the sweater inside, but when he turned around, he saw the tidy bed with the quilt folded like a block of tofu.

The desk lamp on the small desk emits a soft light.

It was filled with books and test papers, and had a faint smell of fountain pen ink.

There is even a faint sweet scent of osmanthus in the air, very light but very sweet.

All of this is very simple, but it reveals a simple and warm feeling.

Gu Yan had already mopped the floor and brushed off the snow on Lu Ye's thick coat. She would warm it in front of the stove later.

She was busy for a while and found that Lu Ye in the inner room had not moved. Gu Yan asked while drying his clothes, "Aye, what's wrong?"

"No, it's okay." Lu Ye quickly took out a sweater from the closet and put it on, then changed into another pair of trousers.

When he came out, he saw Gu Yan sitting in front of the stove. There was a small pot on the stove with something bubbling inside. She was holding the thick coat he had just taken off and warming it.

Lu Ye sighed.

He found that he had an impulse every minute and wanted to marry the girl in front of him as soon as possible.

And now, I don’t want to wait even a minute.

But it’s not possible right now.

It's really depressing.

Lu Ye walked over, sat down on the small bench next to him, and asked, "What's cooking in the pot? It smells quite good."

"Bacon noodle soup with some cabbage. Eat this tonight and your stomach will feel better." Gu Yan added some water and looked up. "There are some frozen dumplings with pickled cabbage and meat filling outside. If this noodle soup is not enough for you, we can cook some dumplings later."

"Just throw them into this pot and cook them together. It'll save you a lot of trouble this way." Lu Ye sniffed, feeling quite hungry. "Did Bai Changle bring these?"

When Lu Ye asked this question, he glanced around. He had lived in this place for several months, so he was naturally familiar with every corner.

That is the small living room in this house, which contains a lot of things, not to mention that when he came back just now, he saw some things on the windowsill outside.

Tsk tsk, this kid Bai Changle is quite attentive.
