Chapter 29 Returning to My Mother's Home
On the first day of the New Year, everyone spent it eating and drinking. When it came to the second day, it was time for married girls to return to their parents' home.
The Liu family didn't go home. Now that Shulan was getting married, she had to come back to visit her parents' home the next day, so the aunt and grandmother Liu didn't go back to their own parents' home, and they stayed at home to entertain the girls and their husbands.
Early in the morning, Uncle Liu and his wife sat together in the main room, glancing at the door from time to time to see if the girl had returned. Liu Jianjun ran to the village early to wait for his sister and brother-in-law.
As soon as the winter sun came out, Shulan brought her husband back to her parents' home with a lot of bags. Aunt Liu quickly stepped forward and asked her daughter about her life in her husband's family. Uncle Liu was in a good mood and started chatting and laughing.

I went to my aunt's room and found Shulan. I saw that Aunt Liu was so happy that her face was exposed. It seemed that something good had happened that she didn't know about.

After knowing that Shulan was pregnant, all the members of the Liu family were happy for her. She got pregnant less than half a year after getting married, and she had a firm foothold in the Li family. Although when she was not pregnant, the Li family did not dare to mistreat this daughter-in-law with backing.
Aunt Liu packed a big bag of things for Shulan to take back to take care of her pregnancy. Uncle Liu was thinking about preparing toys for his grandson, and Grandma Liu took Shulan to share her pregnancy experience.
Shuxin returned to her bedroom and packed some malted milk and milk candy for her cousin to take back to supplement the nutrition of the mother and the baby. The next time she went out, she would buy some soft clothes for Shulan and send them to her to make clothes for the child.

When the Li family's mother-in-law saw Shuxin riding a bicycle to send her youngest son back two days later, she quickly made a bowl of sugar water and gave it to Shuxin to quench her thirst. Shuxin did not delay and drank it in one gulp. She wiped the water from the corner of her mouth and said goodbye to the Li family.
"Thank you, Auntie. I'll go home after they both take me home. You don't have to see me off, Auntie."
After seeing Shuxin leave, Granny Li returned to the main room to pack up the things her daughter-in-law brought back. She also thanked her in-laws for being so generous. These things were not small, there were several packages.
The malted milk, candies and snacks were all left for the younger daughter-in-law. It was obvious that these rare things were given to Shulan by her younger daughter-in-law's cousin to nourish her body. As for the meat and eggs, she kept them to cook one for Shulan every day.
When the eldest and second sisters-in-law of the Li family saw Shulan carrying a lot of things back to the house, they couldn't help feeling sad. Ever since Shulan came into the family, her brother and cousin from her mother's side would send things to visit her from time to time, and they never came empty-handed. But what about their mother's families? Not to mention coming to see them, it’s good enough that we don’t have to rely on them for support.

Shuxin didn't know a series of things that happened in the Li family after she left. After leaving the Li family, she didn't go back to the Liu family, but walked towards the city.
