Chapter 105 The Heartless Big Black

Er Ya used an analogy, asking, "Think about it, Auntie, if you bought something and someone gave you more than usual, how would you feel?"

Wang Meili nodded unconsciously: "They must be extremely happy."

"You got a good deal this time, so will you go there again next time?"

Wang Meili then realized what Er Ya meant: "I understand, we need to let them know that they got a good deal, leave a good impression, and they'll buy our things again next time."

"Yes, wouldn't saying it this way be more effective than selling it cheaper than you just thought?"

"Okay, I got it. I'll definitely do as you say tomorrow."

Seeing her daughter-in-law so easily persuaded by Er Ya that she could only nod in agreement, Chen Xiuhua took Jiang's mother's hand and said, "You have such a daughter, you'll have a lot of good fortune in the future. Look at those ideas, one after another, they're so clever."

Jiang's mother said proudly, "Of course, look who gave birth to you."

"Alright, stop showing off about having a good daughter. Take care of yourself when you get home, and let us know when you're about to give birth."

Jiang's mother nodded, her eyes brimming with tears, and said, "Mother, you and Father must take care of yourselves. The work in the fields is so tiring, so don't plant so much anymore. Just focus on your business."

"Alright, your son-in-law is watching right now. Don't let him laugh at you. You're a mother now."

Lin Jianguo pushed his bicycle, pretending to admire the scenery, without even turning his head back.

Jiang's mother wiped away her tears and said goodbye to Chen Xiuhua and Wang Meili: "Sister-in-law, we're leaving now. We'll be at the market stalls. If you have any questions later, just come and find Er Ya."

Er Ya also said, "Yes, Aunt, believe in yourselves, you can do it."

"Okay, sure."

"Grandma, Aunt, we're really leaving now. I'll miss you."

Chen Xiuhua and Wang Meili escorted Er Ya and her family to the village entrance. After watching them walk away, they wiped away their tears and returned to continue washing their things.

………………………………………………

Seeing that Jiang's mother was still wiping away tears, Er Ya turned around and comforted her, saying, "Mom, don't be sad. We have a car now, which is convenient. You can come back whenever you want. I'm just afraid that Grandma will complain that you go back every day."

Jiang's mother chuckled, looking at her daughter's worried expression: "I was just a little upset, but I'm much better now. But you, after being at Grandma's for the past two days, you must be having trouble adjusting to coming home now."

Er Ya said unhappily, "No, I miss Da Hei too. I wonder if it has missed me these past two days, or if it has missed me so much that it can't eat or sleep."

Seeing that the two men's spirits had dropped again, Lin Jianguo shouted:

"Alright, you two hold on tight, I'm going to speed up."

"Heheheheheda".

"Dad, faster, I need to go even faster."

We arrived at the market in no time. We had brought too much stuff, so we didn't browse around. We just bought a few skewers of candied hawthorns and went straight home.

The sun dipped below the horizon, and the fiery clouds in the sky gradually returned to their pure white, like the wings of an angel.

As dusk fell, the family finally arrived home, only to find the door locked and the house key still at the neighbor's house.

Er Ya excitedly ran to Li Taohua's house with a candied hawthorn in her hand. As soon as she entered the yard, she started shouting, "Brother Gou Dan, are you home? Look what I brought back!"

Just as Gou Dan was complaining about the bland food, he heard Er Ya calling him from outside. He put down his bowl and ran out: "What?"

The little girl in front of them was smiling so hard her eyes were almost closed. She was holding two strings of candied hawthorns and was about to run into their main room. Gou Dan quickly slammed on the brakes, forcing himself to stop, thus avoiding the embarrassment of bumping into Er Ya.

When Er Ya saw that it was Gou Dan coming over, she handed him both skewers of candied hawthorn: "Here, these are the candied hawthorns I promised to buy for you. Eat them quickly, they're starting to melt."

Hearing Er Ya's voice, Li Taohua quickly came out to see what was happening, only a step behind Gou Dan. When she came out, she saw her son happily eating a candied hawthorn in each hand. She scolded him:

"You're so delicious! You actually bought it from Er Ya?"

"If you won't buy it for me, you won't let anyone else buy it for me either. I'll just eat it. Er Ya, here, give this to you. Let's each have one."

Er Ya waved her hand: "I still have some at home, and I can't eat so much candy at night, or I'll get cavities."

"If you're not going to eat it, I'll eat it all."

Li Taohua glared at him, then smiled at Er Ya and said, "You just got back? Come on, I'll open the door for you."

He picked up Er Ya and walked out, completely forgetting about his son behind him.

Er Ya struggled to get down: "Auntie, I can walk by myself. I'm a grown woman now."

"You've been gone for two days. I haven't seen you for the past two days and I haven't been able to eat anything. Let me give you a good hug. By the way, have you eaten yet?"

Er Ya shook her head and said, "Not yet, I just got home."

When they arrived at Er Ya's house, they put Er Ya down, took out their house key, and opened the gate. Da Hei heard the noise and rushed out. When he saw Er Ya, he was overjoyed and pulled her by the side of her pants into the yard.

Er Ya looked at the big black dog wagging its tail and asked in surprise, "Big Black, why do I feel like you've gotten a little fat?"

Upon hearing this, Dahei wagged its tail unhappily: No, no, you must be mistaken. I'm quite slim.

Li Taohua said with a smile, "Of course it's gotten fat. In the two days you were gone, it kept eating. As soon as there was nothing to eat, it started barking and making a ruckus in the yard. Lin Xiao also came over to feed it. I've been feeding it several times a day."

Er Ya pointed at Da Hei: "Well, Da Hei, after I left, shouldn't you be unable to eat anything? How come you can eat even more now?"

Big Black barked a few times, indicating it didn't understand Er Ya's words, then ran over to Lin Jianguo and saw him unloading things. It then grabbed a small crayfish and wouldn't let go.

"Big Black, shut up! You can't eat that stuff."

But it was too late. The crayfish were suffocating in the bucket. When it finally saw a live one, its big claws clamped down hard on Big Black's nose, and Big Black cried out in pain for a long time.

Er Ya quickly stepped forward, took the crayfish off the bucket, and turned to scold Da Hei: "You, you eat everything, how can you just put this thing in your mouth?"

Big Black touched its nose pitifully with its paw, then went back to its den whimpering softly.

Waaaaah~ Bad people, they're all bad people! Ahhh~ My handsome nose is going to be ruined!
