Li Taohua and Lin Xiao reluctantly said goodbye to Er Ya's family, and only returned reluctantly after seeing them off out of the village.
Grandma Shen waited all night but her second son didn't return, which made her so angry that her chest started to hurt. After all that trouble, Dr. Li said she was really sick, with chest pain, and would need to take medication regularly.
Sure enough, she came to find Lin Jianguo early this morning, fuming, demanding that he quickly give her the money because she needed to see a doctor.
When they arrived, they found no one there. They shouted and cursed at the door for a long time, just as Li Taohua and Lin Xiao returned. When they saw them, Old Lady Shen asked angrily, "Where is their family? I called for ages and no one opened the door. Where the hell have they been?"
Li Taohua, unaware that Old Lady Shen didn't know they had left, asked in confusion, "Don't you know, Auntie? They've moved to town and aren't coming back."
Upon hearing this, Old Mrs. Shen was furious: "What? Gone? When did they leave? Where did they go?"
Li Taohua pointed to the road leading to town and said weakly, "We've been walking for a while now. It's the restaurant run by the mayor's son. We asked them to help manage it."

Lin Xiao didn't want to see Old Lady Shen cursing and swearing, so he told Li Taohua and went home alone.

After tidying up everything, Xiao Bao lay lazily in the unfamiliar environment and fell fast asleep without any shyness.
Er Ya looked around at the things in the room; this was the home her family would be staying in for a long time.
