Chapter 47 Return

How could I feel at ease if I didn't kill them?

So, his sister Ah Jun took action for him. Huo Baichuan was right. He couldn't even protect himself and always dragged others down with him. What right did he have to be the crown prince? But he was unwilling. He hadn't avenged his great enemy, so how could he talk about dying?

He will never forget his sister who bore the blame for him, he will never forget his sister who stood firmly by his side when he was down on his luck, and he will never forget those who harmed him!

Zhao Shu opened the box, inside was a blank handkerchief with the Crown Prince's private seal. "If A-Jun wants anything, just write it down, and your Crown Prince brother will grant it to you."

“Brother Crown Prince, this is too heavy. If you ascend the throne one day and A-Jun asks you to abdicate, will you listen?” After saying this, she returned the handkerchief to the Crown Prince.

"Listen, if one day your brother forgets his original intentions, forgets morality, forgets the country, A-Jun, ask your brother to abdicate, and your brother will obey." He looked at Zhao Shu with affection, placed the handkerchief in her palm, and closed it. "Your brother remembers what A-Jun once said: even if someone else is the crown prince, he is not your brother. Your brother is very moved. There are so many descendants of the Zhao family, but your brother only has A-Jun as his sister. A-Jun, don't worry, your brother will protect you from now on and be your most reliable support, okay?"

Zhao Shu suddenly burst into tears, tears streaming down her face. Her prince brother had finally returned. "Yes, a powerful backer that no one can match."

"Okay, stop crying. You're not cute if you keep crying."

"Yes." Zhao Shu nodded, but still couldn't help sobbing. She had finally experienced what it meant to see the light at the end of the tunnel. She had finally waited for him, and thankfully she hadn't given up. This phrase wasn't just about love.

The Crown Prince wiped away the tears on her cheeks. "You've gotten even thinner. Go and rest. I'll read some books later. You haven't written your couplet yet. I'll write it well so that our Ah Jun's shop will become famous throughout the world and not disgrace my name." He confidently urged Zhao Shu to leave quickly.

Zhao Shu hesitated, but since the Crown Prince had just recovered, it was not appropriate to bring up Consort Hao's matter, so she gave up. "Crown Prince, you should rest more. The imperial physicians will treat your leg in a while. When your leg is healed, Crown Prince, you want to take A-Jun hunting, as you said before."

"Alright, next spring, I'll take you hunting." The prince waved his hand, picked up a book from the table, and pretended to start reading.

Zhao Shu knew that he was still suffering greatly, but as long as he was willing to face it and overcome it, that would be alright. One day, he would be able to calm down and reflect on his experiences. These experiences would make him stronger, strong enough to support the entire Dayong Kingdom and become a qualified monarch.

As Sun Yun stepped out of the side hall, she saw Huo Danlan standing beside her. Upon seeing Zhao Shu emerge, Huo Danlan beckoned, "A-Jun, come here."

Zhao Shu walked over and saw a small porcelain bottle on the zither table. "How is it?" Sun Yun asked Zhao Shu, pointing to the small porcelain bottle.

Picking up the small porcelain bottle, I looked it over and found that the workmanship was extremely exquisite. The porcelain bottle was milky white and smooth, small and cute. "Which craftsman made it?"

"How so?" Sun Yun smiled without answering, but had already given Zhao Shu the answer.

"Okay, mass-produce them, start with a thousand."

"Ah Jun, would you like to go and look at the shop?" Huo Danlan asked. She had not been involved in Zhao Shu's shop opening, but in the past half month, Zhao Shu had only been in charge of the Crown Prince and had not cared about anything else, so she would occasionally go and take a look. Fei Peng knew that the Huo family also had shares, so he did not stop her.

Zhao Shu smiled and said, "Of course I'll go."

The group set off immediately, and a carriage was prepared. The group left the palace in a grand procession. Since Zhihai was not there, Xiao Guozi took over as the driver. Although he was in pain and grimaced, he still insisted on driving the carriage himself.

On the carriage, Zhao Shu wondered why Zhi Hai had not yet returned and whether something had happened.

Amidst laughter and chatter, they arrived at the shop, where Fei Peng was arranging for people to clean. It was his first time being in charge, so he was doing everything himself, determined to make sure it was perfect.

Upon seeing Zhao Shu and the others approach, he hurried over to greet them, "Princess, Miss Huo, Miss Sun."

“You’re busy, we just came to check on things,” Zhao Shu said.

Fei Peng wasn't being coy; he was genuinely busy. Staff training wasn't his responsibility, and he couldn't get involved in production, but he had to worry about the shop's security, oversee the carpentry work, personally inspect the material sourcing, and try to communicate with the shop's neighbors... Sometimes, if someone was negligent or there were conflicts, he had to mediate all these trivial matters.

However, doing all these things, though tiring, was extremely fulfilling. Doing them well brought a great sense of accomplishment, so he was tired but happy.

Zhao Shu and the other two looked it over inside and out, and nodded in approval. "We didn't expect Fei Peng to do such a good job on his first task. This boy has a bright future." Huo Danlan praised him sincerely.

"Auntie, you can't take her from me!" Zhao Shu immediately defended her ownership.

Seeing her lack of ambition, Huo Danlan laughed and said, "I won't compete with you. Although Fei Peng is talented, he is still a bit green. He might not be able to compete with an experienced veteran. In a few days, your aunt will arrange someone for you."

"Really? Thank you, Auntie." Zhao Shu was overjoyed and quickly expressed her gratitude, afraid that Huo Danlan would change her mind if she was too late.

What she lacks most right now is people, people who can stand on their own. If she can get an experienced person to mentor Fei Peng, she believes he will grow up quickly.

"What can I say about you?" Huo Danlan said helplessly at Zhao Shu's delighted expression.

"It's still early, why don't we go check on Bi Qiao and Granny? I wonder how their progress is," Zhao Shu suggested. New Year's Eve is just around the corner, and if they can open for business before then, they can make a fortune.

Huo Danlan and Sun Yun had no objections. The three of them said goodbye to Fei Peng and then got back into the carriage to head to another location.
