“How can a company be managed well if it doesn’t have ironclad rules? I won’t blame the manager who fired you for this; on the contrary, I will reward him handsomely.” Mo Jing walked forward step by step, each step as if she were taking a leisurely stroll. “If you want to jump, then jump quickly. It’ll be perfect for a special feature on those reporters down there.”
What Mo Jing said was absolutely outrageous!
Even the employee hadn't expected her to say that. Angrily, she pointed a trembling finger at Mo Jing and said, "How can you be so indifferent to human life?"
“Your life is your own. If you want to die, I can stop you once, but not a second time. If you don’t even cherish yourself, why should others?” The wind howled on the rooftop, and from Mo Jing’s vantage point, she could even see the reporters surrounding her below, though they were small. Mo Jing smiled coldly, ignoring the male employee’s incredulous expression, and said, “It’s just pitiful for your newborn child and your blind mother. You’re the pillar of your family. If you die, your wife will be struggling to raise the child and care for her mother-in-law alone. On top of that, there’s no income. How is your irresponsible behavior any different from forcing her to die?”
The man, already somewhat out of control, reddened his eyes upon hearing Mo Jing's words. A grown man actually shed tears on the spot, followed by an even more stern interrogation: "You know my family situation? You knew and yet you agreed to the manager firing me? You're nothing but an executioner, a cold-blooded demon!"
“I know about your family situation because you’re my employee. I’ve seen your file. As long as you’re loyal and responsible to the company, I’ll be considerate of every one of my employees. I know you’re usually diligent and responsible. I was originally planning to promote you to team leader, but you’re ruining your own future.” Ignoring the man’s wide-eyed disbelief and deep regret, Mo Jing continued, “However, I also know that you did this because you recently heard there’s hope for your mother to regain her sight, but you don’t have the money for the surgery, so you used the wrong method.”
Before the man could react, Mo Jing continued, "The company can cover your mother's surgery costs in advance; consider it an advance on your salary."
"You mean? You're not firing me?" The man couldn't believe her words. She had just been blaming him, so why was she suddenly not firing him?
"It's not that I won't fire you, but I'll give you a different job. After all, you did something wrong, and the manager did nothing wrong, but given your situation, I can introduce you to work at Fengteng Enterprise."
The employee's lips trembled, still incredulous, fearing that Mo Jing was just lying to him. He asked uncertainly, "Are you serious? You're not lying to me?"
