"I asked you what you're doing?" Liu Jiangcheng looked at Mo Jing with a questioning gaze and spoke again, but this time the anger in his voice was even greater, and the loud voice instantly echoed among the plants.
Mo Jing glanced at Liu Jiangcheng, and before he could react, she quickly plucked a leaf of Silver Heart Grass and replied, "I'll lend you a few leaves of Silver Heart Grass."
Upon seeing the Silver Heart Grass being picked, Liu Jiangcheng's previously calm expression immediately changed, and he quickly stepped forward.
"How dare you touch my things!" Liu Jiangcheng saw that the Silver Heart Grass, which had been intact, was suddenly missing a leaf; the leaves that were originally symmetrical and neat were now missing a piece.
Her beautiful phoenix eyes were now blazing with fury, threatening to incinerate Mo Jing at any moment.
Mo Jing had anticipated his expression, and said calmly without any apology, "You've been raising this Silver Heart Grass for several years now, haven't you noticed that it just won't grow any bigger?"
"What are you trying to say?" Liu Jiangcheng asked, puzzled. Just as Mo Jing had said, he had indeed been cultivating this Silver Heart Grass for over three years. It looked the same three years ago as it did three years later; it hadn't even grown much. At first, he might have thought he hadn't taken good care of it, but after a while, Liu Jiangcheng simply concluded that the grass was never meant to grow.
"I'm helping you, you know that?" Mo Jing said casually.
Liu Jiangcheng's sharp eyebrows furrowed slightly, not understanding what she wanted to say.
"This Silver Heart Grass needs its leaves removed to grow, and it needs to be removed once a month." Mo Jing wasn't lying to him; the Silver Heart Grass did indeed need its leaves removed to continue growing, and there was a specific method to removing the leaves.
Liu Jiangcheng pondered for a moment, and his furious expression had calmed down considerably. Few people had ever seen Yin Xincao, so the fact that she could still call out that name meant it wasn't made up.
“Go on, if you can’t convince me, you should know the consequences of offending me.” Liu Jiangcheng bent down and touched the small grass that emitted a faint silver light.
Mo Jing knew he was telling the truth. Perhaps her status as the daughter of the Mo family business meant she could act with impunity in Nan Province, but in Liujiang City, she was nothing but trash. There was no need for her to offend him now.
"Silver heart grass generally grows in the South Pacific. As long as the air temperature is well controlled, it is very easy to grow. Silver heart grass usually grows to about 20 centimeters in length. If the leaves are not removed every month, it will not grow any larger."
"Is that so? I didn't know that." Liu Jiangcheng looked at Mo Jing with some skepticism.
Mo Jing paused, straightened up, and continued, "There are countless kinds of flowers and plants in the world. Can you guarantee that you know the survival habits of every single one of them? Besides, you probably have never seen a silver heart grass grow fruit, have you?"
"Silver Heart Grass can grow fruit?" Liu Jiangcheng was even more surprised.
Mo Jing suddenly stopped talking and instead raised the silver leaf in her hand, looking at Liu Jiangcheng.
Liu Jiangcheng looked at the leaves shimmering silver in the sunlight and smiled faintly.
Mo Jing looked at Liu Jiangcheng and smiled smugly. She knew she had convinced Liu Jiangcheng. Only by obtaining the leaves of the Silver Heart Grass could she begin the first step of her plan.
