This was certainly not the focus of her dinner party. The main point was to secure He Shaoqi's investment funds in one fell swoop. That was what Mo Jing was really thinking.
Things that have already been agreed upon must be implemented as soon as possible and become a definite agreement. Only things written down in black and white can give people more peace of mind. Only when she has what she needs in her own hands will she feel at ease.
When they arrived at the agreed-upon restaurant, He Shaoqi was already there, sitting leisurely and chatting casually with Ling Moyuan, that icy guy.
Mo Jing frowned. Why was Ling Moyuan always around He Shaoqi? Were these two really so close that they were inseparable?

When He Shaoqi received Mo Jing's call, he was asking Ling Moyuan to smooth things over with his grandfather. Because he had used some personal connections, his grandfather found out and specifically requested that he be brought back to Kyoto for a serious talk.
Upon being summoned to Kyoto, He Shaoqi was terrified. If his grandfather were to summon him for another talk, he'd be half-dead, if not killed. Desperate, he resorted to using Ling Moyuan as a shield. With this popular young master of Kyoto involved, his grandfather would likely let him off the hook.
No matter how much He Shaoqi fawned over Ling Moyuan like a clown, no matter how much he begged, Ling Moyuan would do whatever he wanted without agreeing or refusing.
But when he received Mo Jing's call, Ling Moyuan paused for a moment, a thought that Ling Moyuan immediately noticed. A fleeting idea flashed through his mind.
She deliberately raised her voice and said, "Oh, it's Mo Jing. What's up?" She glanced at the person pretending to be nonchalant out of the corner of her eye.
After hanging up the phone, when she looked at Ling Moyuan, he had completely stopped what he was doing, frowned, and asked expressionlessly, "Mo Jing wants to invite you to dinner?"
"Yeah, she said she wanted to thank me for helping her with a small favor." He Shaoqi said nonchalantly, his expression smug and arrogant, as if he were showing off to Ling Moyuan. Don't think he couldn't see that this kid had ulterior motives towards Mo Jing.
"I'm hungry, let's go eat together." Ling Moyuan stood up, and as he got up to put on his coat, he casually replied, "Okay." He indicated that he had agreed to He Shaoqi's request, and a slight smile played on his lips, suggesting he was in a very good mood.
He Shaoqi was left standing there dumbfounded, completely bewildered.
Ling Moyuan, who had been unresponsive and unyielding just moments before, suddenly wanted to have dinner with her after hearing Mo Jing's phone call and even agreed to help her.
That's incredible.
"Mo Jing's here." He Shaoqi looked up and saw Mo Jing push the door open to enter, and said with a grin.
Having had his biggest problem solved by Ling Moyuan, He Shaoqi was naturally in a good mood, so he spoke to people with a gentle smile on his face.
"You two are really early. Are you all so eager to get here?" Mo Jing said with a slight smile, pulling out chairs and sitting down at the table, teasing the two of them.
Mo Jing was quite easygoing with He Shaoqi and Ling Moyuan, not flattering them excessively, but treating them as friends, remaining calm and unperturbed by their favor.
