As he spoke, he took out an exquisite little box from his sleeve pocket and opened it. Sure enough, there was a round pearl lying inside.

Li Xiu looked at the backs of Shen Weiwan and her servant running away, still holding the open pearl box in his hand. He froze in place, shaking with anger.
How did his carefully prepared "affectionate" drama turn out like this? How could Shen Weiwan still be the "silly" legitimate daughter who was manipulated by others? She was clearly a sharp-tongued, irritating little hot pepper!
"Mr. Li?" A delicate voice came from behind.
Li Xiu turned around suddenly and saw Shen Ruoruo and two maids standing by the moon gate not far away, with just the right amount of "surprise" and "concern" on her face: "Master Li, why are you here alone? I seemed to hear...Sister Weiwan's voice just now?"
Li Xiu looked at Shen Ruorou's face, which seemed gentle but actually concealed calculations. The anger and frustration in his heart suddenly found an outlet. He snorted in annoyance and turned to leave.
"Mr. Li," Shen Ruorou quickly caught up and stopped him, "What's wrong with you? You look so ugly, did Sister Weiwan say something unpleasant again? She has never been very smart, so don't bother with her."
Li Xiu stopped and looked at Shen Ruoruo coldly: "Second Miss Shen, I don't know whether your sister is smart or not. But I know that if I encounter this kind of thing again in the future, I, Li Xiu, will no longer care about any feelings!"
After he finished speaking, he ignored Shen Ruorou's stunned expression, leaned on his crutches, and limped away, his back revealing a sense of embarrassment and anger.
Shen Ruorou stood there, looking at the direction where Li Xiu went away, her eyes gradually cold. She had just hidden behind the moon gate and saw the scene clearly. Shen Weiwan, that girl, actually dared to confront Li Xiu like that and made him so angry!

Shen Ruorou looked at the petals falling from the rose bushes, a sinister smile on her lips. Shen Weiwan, do you think you can get away with this? The best part is yet to come.
On the other side, Shen Weiwan pulled Chuntao and ran for a distance. After confirming that Li Xiu had not caught up with them, she stopped, held onto a willow tree, and laughed.
