The early summer sun scorched the bluestone slabs in front of the general's mansion, scorching even the two stone lions at the gate until they seemed to be steaming. Li Xiu, leaning on his cane, limped to the front. Sweat on his forehead had already matted his hair to clumps at his temples, and his royal blue brocade robe was wrinkled like a soaked rag. Behind him followed two sparsely packed servants, both with embarrassed expressions, clearly dragged here by their master.
"Chen Weiwan! Come out here!" Li Xiu knocked hard on the vermilion lacquer door with his crutch, his voice hoarse, "You vicious woman! How dare you slander me! I want to confront you!"
The doorman, Old Wang, peeked his head out from the crack of the door. Seeing that it was Li Xiu, his brows immediately furrowed into knots. "Mr. Li, what are you doing? The General's Mansion is not a place for you to act wildly."
"Let her out!" Li Xiu was so excited that his crutch almost pierced through the door. "I want to tell everyone that it was Shen Ruorou who seduced me! It has nothing to do with me! It's her! It's all her!"
The people passing by heard the noise and gathered around, pointing and watching the excitement.
"Hey, isn't this the lame Mr. Li?"

Shen Weiwan looked at Li Xiu's embarrassed back, a cold smile appeared on the corner of her mouth, and she bowed to the onlookers: "I'm sorry to have made you laugh. This person's mind is not very clear. I'm really sorry for disturbing everyone."
After saying that, she turned around and went back home, leaving behind a chorus of discussions.

Back at the mansion, Chun Tao helped Shen Weiwan change her coat and couldn't help laughing: "Miss, you were so impressive just now! Li Xiu was splashed with water by you and ran away like a stray dog!"
