Chapter 18 Visiting the Lan Mansion

"Azhi, are you here to see us specially?" asked the second brother. His name was Lan Zheyu and his younger brother was Lan Jinyu.

Lan Zhi nodded, feeling extremely sad. Perhaps for her brothers, the siblings had only not seen each other for a few months, but for Lan Zhi, she had not seen them for more than three years.

After being reborn and seeing the familiar faces of her brothers again, Lan Zhi felt a sense of happiness.

In this life, she must protect her family!

Lan Zhi looked at her two brothers and said, "I'm here to take you back."

"Go back?" Lan Zheyu was stunned for a moment and said, "We still have to study in the academy..."

The third brother, Lan Jinyu, was quicker-witted. He immediately realized something was wrong and asked, "Did something happen at home?"

Otherwise, my sister wouldn't have come all the way to call them.

Lan Zhi nodded and said, "Big brother has gone astray..."

"What?!" The two brothers looked at each other with disbelief in their eyes. They hurried back to ask for leave from the school. Without even bothering to pack their luggage, they got on Lan Zhi's carriage.

On the way back, Lan Zheyu asked, "How is my brother? Have you consulted a spiritual doctor?"

Lan Jinyu said nothing. He clasped his hands together and cast several spells to speed up the carriage.

Lan Zhi replied, "Brother's body is not damaged, he just has some mental problems."

"In good spirits?" Lan Zheyu's expression was slightly dazed. He glanced at his sister and sighed softly, "Yes, big brother is under too much pressure..."

Lan Jinyu pursed his lips and his body tensed, as if he was thinking of the enemies of the Lan Mansion. A glimmer of hatred flashed in his eyes, and his hands were clenched into fists, as if he could suddenly attack and hurt someone at any time.

Lan Zheyu, his older brother, sensed his change in mood and quickly comforted him, "Jin, calm down. Don't be impulsive."

"I know." Lan Jinyu's voice was a little hoarse. He practiced a very domineering fire-attributed martial arts. The martial arts affected his personality, causing Lan Jinyu to become irritable and easily angered.

In order to reduce the impact of the martial arts on himself, Lan Jinyu often put on a cold face, spoke as little as possible, and tried hard to control his emotions.

Lan Jinyu looked at her sister and asked, "Azhi, was my brother... assassinated?"

"No." Lan Zhi quickly denied, saying, "Really not, Third Brother, calm down. I feel like your eyes are about to spit fire."

"good."

Lan Jinyu probably thought of Prince Rui, and a few strands of fiery spiritual power faintly emerged from his body, causing the temperature around him to rise.

"A Jin!" Lan Zheyu called out to his brother helplessly, lowering his voice and asking, "Are you planning to burn the carriage?"

"I don't want to." Lan Jinyu exhaled, closed his eyes, and emptied his mind. The spiritual power in his body gradually calmed down.

The road was quiet with only the sound of galloping horses. When they arrived at the bustling street, the carriage gradually slowed down. Lan Zheyu lifted the curtain several times to look out, wishing he could grow wings and fly back.

Fortunately, only this section of the carriage was crowded and traffic was slow, and the following streets were relatively wide. When the carriage returned to the Lan Mansion, Lan Jinyu, who had originally closed his eyes to rest, suddenly opened his eyes and jumped off the carriage like a gust of wind. Without waiting for his second brother and sister, he ran to the courtyard where Lan Tiao lived.

Although Lan Zheyu was also very anxious, he still waited for Lan Zhi to get off the carriage and walked quickly back home.

"Second Young Master, you're finally back..." The butler came towards him, his eyes moist and his expression guilty.

Lan Zheyu's heart skipped a beat and he said, "Uncle Chen, my brother's condition is... serious?"

The housekeeper sighed and said, "Go in and take a look yourself. I'll go and cook for you."

At this moment, a small paper bird flew in, and a loud male voice came from the bird: "I heard that Master Lan Tiao has gone astray. I have some medical skills and can help take a look."

This voice is Prince Rui!

A trace of humiliation and anger flashed in Lan Zheyu's eyes, but he suppressed it well. When he turned to look at Lan Zhi, his gaze had returned to calm.

Outsiders cannot enter the Lan Mansion. Even Prince Rui cannot force his way in and can only wait outside.

"Let's go, let's take brother out." Lan Zheyu said.

Lan Zhi pretended not to understand and asked, "But I've never heard that Prince Rui knows medicine. Besides, even a spiritual doctor can't save someone who's been possessed by a demon. What is Prince Rui doing here? Let's find a reason to send him away."

"No, he is the strongest man in the Da Rui Kingdom, we must give him face." Lan Zheyu said as he walked into the room.

"Second brother, you're back!" Lan Tiao's face showed a childlike innocent smile. He walked forward happily and said, "I'm already in the Qingyuan realm!"

Lan Zheyu had a bitter expression, but still praised: "Big brother is really amazing."

Lan Tiao said, "Why are you unhappy? Are you jealous of me getting stronger?"

Lan Zheyu forced a smile that was uglier than crying and coaxed, "Brother, let's go out and see Prince Rui first, okay?"

"Okay!" Lan Tiao agreed readily.

Lan Zheyu turned to his brother and said, "A Jin, don't go."

Lan Jinyu said nothing, indicating his agreement.

Given his personality, he wanted to hit Prince Rui on the spot when he saw him.

A few years ago, he really attacked Prince Rui and had his leg broken. After that, his two brothers refused to let him see Prince Rui.

Lan Zheyu turned around and said, "Azhi, you haven't seen your third brother for a long time. Take him for a walk around the mansion to relax."

This was to find something for Lan Zhi to do so that she could stay in the mansion, and he also found such a reasonable excuse that Lan Zhi could not refuse.

"Second brother, take this with you." Lan Zhi took out the Mingxin Mirror, which was a treasure exchanged from Prince Rui's mansion. Although the quality was not high, it was a spiritual weapon after all, and it was somewhat useful. Moreover, it was for Prince Rui to see.

Outside the main gate of the Lan Mansion, Prince Rui sat in the carriage with his eyes closed, resting.

He heard from his son that Lan Tiao had become possessed, and found it strange, so he decided to come and see for himself.

After a while, Lan Tiao and Lan Zheyu came out.

Lan Zheyu acted polite and courteous, saying to the carriage road, "Greetings, Prince Rui."

Prince Rui was too lazy to pay attention to him because he felt that the second young master of the Lan family was very hypocritical. He could even laugh at his enemy and was too cunning.

In comparison, Prince Rui felt that Lan Jinyu was more real, a brainless and reckless man who was not to be feared.

Prince Rui got off the carriage and stood in front of the Lan brothers.

"Are you Prince Rui?" Lan Tiao tilted his head, looking a little puzzled. He said, "I've heard of your name and it seems very familiar, but why don't I have any impression of your face?"

The time has come to test his acting skills.

"Oh?" Prince Rui raised an eyebrow, moved closer to Lan Tiao, and said with a smile, "Take a closer look. Do you really have no impression of me at all?"

As he spoke, purple vortices seemed to emerge in Prince Rui's eyes, making him look mysterious and profound.

This is pupil technique!
