The two of them have only been gone for three days, which is enough to worry people. No matter what the outcome, they should be treated to a meal.
Bai Jiaojiao and Shen Heng went directly to the Bai family home. After eating their fill, they went home and lay down on the kang (a heated brick bed) to rest.
"Brother Heng, now you can relax. We've completed our mission."
Bai Jiaojiao's short-term goal has finally been achieved. The thought of returning to the city after the New Year and living a good life with Shen Heng fills her with excitement and comfort.
"Is that all? Wasn't this the good job you found for me? Everyone else is about to take a break, but I still have to go to the pigsty with you to feed the pigs."
The two of them really couldn't rest for long. They had just bred a new batch of pigs, and the previous batch of piglets was also having trouble getting through the winter. They couldn't afford to be careless.
“It’s a relief, and besides,” Bai Jiaojiao hugged Shen Heng’s neck, “with Brother Heng around, I don’t have to do any work.”
Shen Heng was secretly pleased, but said on the surface, "All you ever do is order me around."
"Then will you order me around tonight?"

But he has failed far too many times.
“Brother Heng,” Bai Jiaojiao said, both amused and exasperated, “If you don’t want to, then forget it.”
"Yes, yes." As soon as Bai Jiaojiao retreated, Shen Heng immediately perked up.
They ate lunch and dinner at the Bai family's house. Although the meal took a little longer, they got home at five o'clock.
Shen Heng calculated that he was in luck today. Since he didn't have to study, and Bai Jiaojiao had nothing to do, it didn't matter if he stayed up from five o'clock to five o'clock.
Before he could even take his pants off, Zheng Xu came knocking on the door.
Shen Heng's face darkened; he knew that Bai Jiaojiao taking the initiative was never a good thing.

Before Shen Heng could reply, Zheng Xu asked, "Yu Wenli hasn't returned. Have you seen him in town?"
