Bai Jiaojiao fiddled with the stove, and this time it started burning very easily.
"Is it ready now?" Shen Heng leaned over and warmed his hands on the stove.
"alright."
Bai Jiaojiao smiled, her eyes crinkling.
"What's wrong with you? What are you doing in the girls' dormitory? And you little girl, didn't your mother tell you not to talk nonsense with men?"

His words had a good effect; the woman immediately stopped talking and went to bed to tidy up her bedding.
Chen Meizhen stood leaning against the bedpost, saying nothing.
"Heng-ge, let's go out for a walk." Bai Jiaojiao grabbed Shen Heng's arm, wanting to get away from this family.

The two walked together in the direction they had come from, not far from the school.

If she were to buy or rent a place to stay temporarily, Bai Jiaojiao preferred the quietness of this place to the staff dormitories on campus.
Bai Jiaojiao had been developing her career in Yancheng in her previous life, and she knew very well that Yanda University would expand to more than twice its current size in a dozen years, including this piece of land.
However, buying a house depends on timing. If no one is willing to sell, Bai Jiaojiao can't find a way to get them to move out.
She and Shen Heng went inside and explored two alleys.
