"I'm going to ask her out for lunch later. If she agrees, you can do my dorm cleaning duties for a semester."
"Fine, but if she doesn't agree to let you work for me for a semester!"
Yang Fan was very confident that unless the girl was not very bright, she would not eat with Shen Heng.
Unexpectedly, Shen Heng, despite his rough appearance, had quite a beautiful mind.
After the two agreed, Shen Heng stepped forward and asked, "Hey classmate, how about having lunch with me at noon?"
His words were so blunt that Yang Fan's mouth was open and he forgot to close it.
Xu Yue, standing to the side, saw a thug-like man approaching and harassing Bai Jiaojiao. She was scared herself, but still grabbed Bai Jiaojiao's hand, asking, "Who are you...?"
"If you say it's okay, then it's okay."
As soon as Bai Jiaojiao stepped out of the auditorium, she saw Shen Heng. Although there was a huge crowd, he was very tall and conspicuous, so she couldn't help but see him.
Bai Jiaojiao was still cooperating, not knowing what tricks Shen Heng was up to.
Upon hearing Bai Jiaojiao's words, Xu Yue's eyes widened as she looked at Bai Jiaojiao, as if to say: Are you crazy?
Yang Fan, who was standing next to Shen Heng, blurted out what was on his mind: "Are you crazy?"
Shen Heng put his arm around Bai Jiaojiao's shoulder and said to Yang Fan, "Don't forget what you promised. We're leaving now."
Yang Fan: My worldview is a bit shattered, let me have some peace and quiet.
"Hey!" Xu Yue tried to stop her, but Shu Manling pulled her back: "This is her husband. I saw him yesterday when he came to fix the furnace."
"Huh? Bai Jiaojiao married him?" Xu Yue looked at the two of them from behind, incredulous and feeling sorry for Bai Jiaojiao: "How did he even fall for her?"
"They got married?"
Yang Fan felt as if he had been struck by lightning, and then several bolts of lightning struck in succession.
Shu Manling said, "Yes, they are a couple." She then explained to Xu Yue as they walked, "You're still young and don't understand. I think Bai Jiaojiao's husband is a good person. At least he can cook. You have to find someone like that to make a living. He has a skill and cares about his wife. You won't have to worry about anything in the future."
Xu Yue seemed to understand, but nodded nonetheless.
Yang Fan stood there, stunned, unable to calm down for a long time.
If there weren't so many people around, he would have loved to roar to the heavens: What the hell?!
After Bai Jiaojiao and Shen Heng were out of sight, she patted his hand off her shoulder and asked, "What was wrong with you just now?"
"This kid actually has his eye on you, so how can I not trick him?" Shen Heng licked his back teeth. Trying to steal his wife? No way!
Bai Jiaojiao smiled and sighed. This really was Shen Heng's way of doing things.
The two ate together in the cafeteria and discussed their respective schedules, discovering that they were both very busy these past two days.
"I'll ride my bike to that lady's house after dinner tonight and ask. If I don't hear anything, I'll go ask again tomorrow. Don't worry about it for now."
Seeing that the two of them had too much free time, Shen Heng didn't let Bai Jiaojiao worry about arranging to go house hunting.
"That works too. We were just thinking of buying a hot water bottle after dinner. Heng, do you want one?"
Shen Heng raised his eyes: "Was it still cold last night?"
Bai Jiaojiao nodded, her face contorted in pain: "It was absolutely freezing. The stove only warmed up when I was right next to it; my bed was ice cold. I missed you so much last night."
Shen Heng glanced around and pinched Bai Jiaojiao's cheek: "How about we sleep at the guesthouse again tonight? Hmm?"
"No," Bai Jiaojiao shook her head, blushing. "We've already agreed to buy hot water bottles. I'll make do for a couple more days. Once the house is settled, we can move in together."
"You keep giving me false hope, saying you miss me even though we don't sleep together."
Under the pretext of apologizing, Shen Heng pinched Bai Jiaojiao's cheek again.
Bai Jiaojiao wrinkled her nose: "Brother Heng, didn't you say you wouldn't act like a hooligan here?"
"Is it considered indecent for me to touch my own wife? There's no justice in this world."
Bai Jiaojiao was speechless.
As usual, Shen Heng first took Bai Jiaojiao to school at noon, and then went back to his dormitory by himself.
Seeing Yang Fan's pale and gloomy appearance, Shen Heng laughed and kicked him: "What are you doing?"
"No, I mean, how did you find such a wife, brother? Who was the matchmaker? Can the matchmaker recommend someone for me too? Does your wife have any sisters? If so, can you introduce them to someone?" Yang Fan thought to himself that with his qualifications, he was miles ahead of Shen Heng, so how could Shen Heng find such a wife?
"I stole it myself. You know it's only a matter of time before a matchmaker introduces you to this thing?"
Shen Heng believed that his glorious moment was marrying Bai Jiaojiao, and he spoke of it with great pride.
Hearing him say that, Yang Fan felt that his style of doing things was very much in line with Shen Heng's image.
"Aren't her sisters pretty?"
“She does have an older sister…” Shen Heng looked at Yang Fan’s expectant eyes, “but she didn’t get into university.”
"Education level is not a problem, and I don't expect her to earn money after we get married."
Yang Fan rubbed his hands together, but then heard Shen Heng say, "But he's already married."
"......"
Yang Fan realized that Shen Heng was just playing him: "What are you saying now that we're married?"
“You didn’t ask that,” Shen Heng said, sitting on the edge of his bed. “Anyway, you have to keep your word. My cleaning duties for this semester are now yours.”
Yang Fan was so wronged that he had nowhere to seek justice. His other roommates asked curiously what happened, and Yang Fan shouted, "Where is justice? Our school's most beautiful girl was taken home by that kid Shen Heng!"
"School beauty? What school beauty? Who is she?"
