"Heng-ge, you're back!"
Bai Jiaojiao stood up immediately upon seeing Shen Heng.
"Are you alright?" Shen Heng looked Bai Jiaojiao up and down. "Where is that person? What happened?"
Shen Heng's eyes seemed to want to burrow into Bai Jiaojiao's body. He hated himself for being so unlucky, only going out for a morning and letting something happen to Bai Jiaojiao at home.

Bai Jiaojiao pulled Shen Heng along and looked at the police officer who brought Shen Heng over: "They are still investigating and interrogating him. I just gave my statement and am waiting."

The small room didn't even have a window, and the air was stuffy and stagnant. Shen Heng pulled Bai Jiaojiao outside.
"Did you call your maternal grandfather's house?" Shen Heng asked.

"Jiaojiao," Grandpa Yang smiled, his eyes crinkling at the sound of Bai Jiaojiao's voice, "How are you feeling today? Why did you decide to call Grandpa?"
Grandpa Yang was in a good mood when he received Bai Jiaojiao's call.
To his surprise, he immediately heard Bai Jiaojiao say on the other end of the phone, "Grandpa, a man came to my house today and tried to commit violence. Heng and I are at the police station now."
"What? Murder? Jiaojiao, are you alright?"
When Mr. Yang first heard the news, he felt a little dizzy.
