"Brother Yang."
Xiaoman seemed to know the vendors here very well. Before Yang Fenglin could ask, he was drawn to one of the stalls.
It was like magic, Yang Fenglin exclaimed in amazement, he was so captivated by this street that he didn't want to leave.
Bai Jiaojiao and Shen Heng were tidying up their things in the room while playfully fighting. When it was almost time to eat, they came out and knocked on Yang Fenglin's door.
After calling for a while without getting a response, Bai Jiaojiao said, "Brother Heng, Feng Lin might have gone out."
"Well, he probably won't dare to go far by himself. He should be back by dinnertime."
Shen Heng and Bai Jiaojiao went to the door to wait for him. After sitting for half an hour, as the stars began to appear, Bai Jiaojiao started to get anxious: "Has he gotten lost? It's already dark, why hasn't he come back yet?"
"Don't worry, he's a grown man, he can find his way back if he gets lost."
Shen Heng walked to the front desk of the guesthouse and asked, "Comrade, have you seen a tall man in military uniform today?"
“I saw him. He smoked here all afternoon. I told him to stop, and then he left.”
"Which way did it go?" Shen Heng thought to himself, "Maybe I should go and look for it."
The hostel staff member gave directions: "Just go west, there's another woman there. Aren't you together?"
"A female comrade?" Shen Heng didn't expect that this kid had gone on a date with a young girl.
Bai Jiaojiao also stood up in surprise: "What female comrade? Does she also live here?"
The woman at the guesthouse nodded: "Yes, you don't know them? I saw them talking, so I thought they knew each other. Anyway, they went west together. You can look for them if you want."
Bai Jiaojiao then asked, "Big sister, is there anything fun or interesting to do in the west?"
"There's a market there, I think it's somewhere, but it's a mess, so be careful when you go."
The older woman reminded her.
Bai Jiaojiao said, "Thank you, big sister. We'll go look for him. If he comes back before us, please have him wait for us here."
The older woman waved her hand, and the two of them walked west.
The western part of the area became increasingly desolate, and it was especially dark now. Bai Jiaojiao was a little scared and held Chen Heng's hand.
Shen Heng said, "I've never been here before. What kind of market is this that's so easy to catch? Why aren't you back at this hour?"
"I hope nothing bad has happened to Feng Lin."
"No way, maybe he lost track of time while he was with that girl. Isn't Fenglin the same age as you? He should find someone by now. Isn't your aunt quite anxious about it?"
"You should at least leave a message for us."
Bai Jiaojiao thought that Yang Fenglin was a young and strong man, and he had been trained in the army, so he should be fine. However, she was still worried about Yang Fenglin's safety.
It was dark, so the lights emanating from the market were particularly noticeable. The two saw the lights and headed towards them.
The market was no longer as bustling as it was during the day; most people had packed up their stalls, with only a few small stalls remaining open.
Shen Heng and Bai Jiaojiao walked to the busiest stall and saw Yang Fenglin sitting at the table, his face flushed, sweat soaking his hair, which stuck to his scalp in clumps.
"Fenglin, what are you doing here?"
Bai Jiaojiao called to him, quickening her pace.
"sister!"
When Yang Fenglin saw Bai Jiaojiao, he wiped the sweat from his face as if he had seen a savior. "Sister, come and see, this game is amazing. I lost everything I had. Come and help me win it back."
Yang Fenglin saw Bai Jiaojiao trying to get up to find him, but someone next to her pressed her back down.
