Chapter 144 Hongli's Exposed

Hongli was frightened. No matter how cunning he was, he was still just a three-year-old child.

While gazing longingly at Hongshi, hoping he would plead for her, she kept begging Hongxi not to tell their father.

In Hongxi's eyes, Hongli was simply a tough nut to crack.

He's even more of a tough nut to crack than Hongzhou in the future.

Even if Hongshi was furious with his younger brother, he couldn't remain silent now that things had escalated to this point.

"Second brother, please let him go this time."

Hongshi was very happy that Hongli had been humiliated, especially by Hongxi.

It seems that not only was he stupid, but Hongli wasn't very smart either.

Hongxi released his grip, as a gesture of respect to Hongshi, but still warned Hongli with a stern expression, "If you dare to lie and be dishonest again, see how I deal with you."

Hongli was so frightened that he hid behind Hongshi. When he looked at Hongxi again, the fear in his eyes was replaced by calmness, and his dark eyes seemed to be thinking about something.

Hongxi didn't want to get entangled with a child, so he turned to Hongshi and said, "Big brother came back yesterday too, why don't we go over and have a chat together?"

Hongshi responded to everything Hongxi said.

So when the three brothers appeared together in front of everyone, some people were surprised.

Yinreng glanced at Hongxi, whose face looked unwell, and gave He Yuzhu a look. He Yuzhu immediately went out to gather information.

When Yinzhen saw Hongxi appear with his two sons, he assumed they were close and playing together, and he was very happy.

Hongyu, who had just arrived, couldn't help but feel curious when he saw the three people with different expressions. He pulled Hongxi aside and asked in a low voice.

"What happened?"

Hongxi then separated from Hongshi and Hongli, and walked with Hongyu towards a less crowded area, while recounting what had just happened.

After hearing this, Hongyu subconsciously glanced at Hongli. Although he found it hard to believe that a three-year-old child could do such a thing, he never doubted Hongxi's words.

"Are you planning to tell your fourth uncle?" Hongyu looked at Hongxi, who shook his head.

Hongshi is stupid, Hongli is cunning, and Hongzhou is the most shameless of all.

In his previous life, his fourth uncle became emperor, and although his three sons each had their flaws, they ultimately still had good futures. He wondered what fate awaited Hongli in this life.

Upon hearing these words, Yinreng, who was not far away, subconsciously glanced at Yinzhen, who was talking to the third prince. The complex emotions he had felt before had long since vanished.

Yinreng walked towards Hongli and rubbed his little head, "Where were you playing with your brothers just now, little Hongli?"

Hongli had a very good impression of his second uncle. He always had a smiling face and seemed very approachable.

So, Hongli resorted to his usual coquettish tactics with Yinzhen, reaching out his arms for a hug, "Second Uncle, Hongli missed you so much."

In the past, Yinreng would definitely have hugged Hongli, but after hearing his son's heartfelt words, he no longer had that thought when facing his little nephew.

"Hongli, you haven't answered your second uncle's question yet."

Hongli was very good at reading people's expressions. Seeing Yinreng's expression, he was unhappy, but he still said with a wronged tone, "I was playing by the pond with my two older brothers."

His expression was very aggrieved, and even Yinzhen couldn't help but frown when he saw it.

"Hongli, has something happened?"

After saying this, Yinzhen looked at Hongshi with an unfriendly expression. This was mainly because his son had a history of causing trouble and often had unpleasant encounters with his younger brothers in the mansion, making it hard not to have doubts.

Hongli glanced timidly at Hongshi, but said nothing.

Before Hongli and Hongzhou were born, Hongshi was also very arrogant in the mansion. Although he was disciplined by Hongxi, he was only obedient and sensible in front of Hongxi. After returning to the Yongjun Prince's Mansion, he still acted like the boss.

But ever since his younger brother Hongli was born, his status has plummeted.

The little guy often tattles and lies.

No matter how he explained, Amma wouldn't believe him.

The more he was scolded, the more his father would reprimand him for not treating his younger brother well, which gradually caused him to lose faith in his father. Eventually, he even lost the desire to explain himself.

So, even though he clearly saw Yinzhen looking at him with a questioning gaze, he still didn't say anything.

"Hongshi, did you bully your younger brother again?" Yinzhen picked up Hongli and looked at Hongshi with a sharp gaze.

Yinreng frowned. "Fourth Prince, it's not appropriate for you to reprimand Hongshi like this before we've even gotten to the bottom of things."

Is that brat Hongli up to his old tricks again?

Hearing footsteps behind him, Yinreng knew without turning around that his son had arrived.

[If Hongli is already scheming against people at such a young age, what will he be like when he grows up?]

Yinreng was speechless that Hongxi hadn't been able to explain what had happened after talking for so long.

[Hongxi, were the three of you together just now? Did something happen?]

Helpless, Yinreng could only ask in his heart.

Hongxi is still not quite used to communicating with his father using his heartfelt voice.

[Hongshi saw Hongli playing alone by the pond and, fearing for his safety, scolded him. Hongli not only argued with his elder brother but, upon seeing his son, deliberately badmouthed him.]

Upon hearing this, Yinreng looked at Hongli with an unfriendly expression.

Meanwhile, Hongli was still nestled in Yinzhen's arms, acting spoiled, while Yinzhen scolded Hongshi harshly, making Yinreng's expression grow increasingly worse.

"Fourth brother, Hongxi has been with them the whole time, why don't you ask him?"
