Apart from moving their heads and eyes, Bai Jianmin and the others had been sitting on the sofa with their feet tied up since they were brought into this small house. They didn't even dare to breathe, let alone not knowing where to put their feet.

In the kitchen, Qiao Jiuru watched the Cai family prepare dishes: fish, shrimp, crab, pork, pig's trotters, chicken, and duck. The pig's trotters had been braised at noon and were already cooked.
