Chapter 28: Starting Over as a Stranger
Shi Mingguang regretted it deeply. He should have escaped from the bed and fled from the Chi family as soon as he woke up.
However, the door opened unexpectedly, and Chi Tiansheng, holding a tray, asked with a bright smile, "Are you awake? Did you sleep well?"
Shi Mingguang could only cover his head again, try to hold his breath, pretend that he was still asleep, and pretend that he had forgotten everything that happened last night.

Chi Tiansheng's expression and personality seemed to be as soft as this bowl of steamed egg. Like magic, they miraculously dissolved all the uneasiness and weirdness in Shi Mingguang's heart.
The other person was Chi Tiansheng, who was originally in an opposing world with him. It was definitely not someone he could drink and chat with, let alone someone he could spend the night in Chi Tiansheng's house with ease. But the atmosphere at this moment seemed as if all this happened naturally.
Shi Mingguang looked at Chi Tiansheng again. His handsome features still carried that familiar sense of competence and freshness, and his confident smile still revealed the charm of being in control of everything.
But, he couldn't quite put his finger on what was different. Was it the atmosphere? The aura? Or was it Chi Tiansheng responding to his gaze?
It was too affectionate. Shi Mingguang didn't dare to meet Chi Tiansheng's gaze and quickly lowered his head.
"To be honest, I'm a little confused about what kind of person Mr. Chi is. I may have misunderstood you too deeply earlier and left a one-sided impression, but——"
"It's okay. From now on, starting from this breakfast, we'll get to know each other again as complete strangers. I'll forget everything that happened last night, including the drunken Lawyer Shi, the drunken Lawyer Shi who became a chatterbox. I'll forget all those impressions and get to know Lawyer Shi anew. How about that?"
He stood up and walked to the door with the tray in his hand. He turned back and smiled at Shi Mingguang, "Three seconds. Lawyer Shi didn't raise any objections or express any clear opposition within three seconds. So, it's decided."
It is not easy to completely let go of the past and start from scratch.
However, Shi Mingguang felt that it was not a bad thing to challenge himself occasionally.
