The man remained silent, his heart heavy.
The woman covered her face and wept, tears streaming down her face.
After the city's residents left, the city lord and his family boarded a beast-drawn carriage and set off as well.
Looking at his mansion, he shook his head and sighed softly.
This time I'm leaving, and I probably won't be coming back.
The wife and daughter kept wiping away tears.
After all, having lived here my whole life, I have developed a deep affection for this land.
If it weren't for impending doom, who would want to leave!
After the vehicles left the city, the army lined up in two rows and set off as well.
In the West Street tavern, Shou Niang watched the army marching hurriedly without saying a word.

"Select some prime locations and mark them!"
"So they don't take it!" Chen Tiansheng said.
“New city residents?” Upon hearing this, Shou Niang was taken aback.
"Mm." Chen Tiansheng nodded.
"Those refugees outside the city will become new city dwellers!"
"Of course, there are conditions for their move-in!" he said.
"Are you going to take over this city?" Shou Niang asked.
"It's my asset now!"
“Of course I’ll take it on!” Chen Tiansheng said.
"Your assets?" Shou Niang's eyes widened in disbelief.
Chen Tiansheng took out the exchange agreement and handed it to her.
"I traded forty granaries of grain for this city!"
"Now, it belongs to me!"
"No wonder you took over!"
"So it was your asset!" After reading the agreement, Shou Niang nodded.
"Qiancheng is where my ancestors lived!"
"Although I have given up all hope!"
"But I still hope you can hold on." She handed him the agreement and then knelt down.
"Shou Niang greets the new city lord!"
"Get up!" Chen Tiansheng put away the agreement and helped her up.
"All you need to do is run the tavern well!"
"Leave the rest to me!"

At the West Gate, atop the city tower, Chen Tiansheng looked down at the dense mass of refugees.

Within a radius of ten miles, all the refugees could hear it clearly.
"Yes!" everyone shouted immediately.
“But I have one condition!!” Chen Tiansheng added.
"After you move into the city, you must dedicate all your efforts to the development of the relocated city!"
"And you must be loyal to me!"
"Subject to my control!"
"Are you the city lord?" An elderly insectoid man, flapping his transparent wings, flew up, looked at him, and asked.
