Chapter 154 The Car Owner Was Actually...

"Come to my place." After saying that, Wu Yi hung up the phone.

Wang Shen glanced at the time on his phone and realized it was already past 1 p.m. He quickly washed up, got dressed, and headed straight for Wu Yi's office.

Wang Shen walked to the door of Wu Yi's office, only to unexpectedly run into Qi Huan and A Cheng. A Cheng was sitting in a wheelchair, and Qi Huan was naturally behind him, her face beaming with a smile.

"Are you fully recovered?" Wang Shen asked Acheng, slightly surprised.

Acheng hadn't had much contact with Wang Shen, and he was momentarily taken aback when he saw him. Later, after Qi Huan reminded him, Acheng learned Wang Shen's identity.

"Officer Wang, thank you." Ah Cheng was wearing a mask, but the burn scars on his face were still clearly visible.

Wang Shen smiled, waved his hand, and said, "I didn't do anything, I just gave you justice."

At this moment, Qi Huan seemed to remember something, rummaged through his bag for a while, and then took out an invitation card and handed it to Wang Shen.

Wang Shen looked at the invitation in his hand, a hint of surprise in his eyes. Then, regaining his composure, his smile widened, and he quickly offered his congratulations: "Congratulations!"

“Officer Wang, although it’s a bit polite to say this, I still want to thank you.” Qi Huan said, smiling at Wang Shen. “If it weren’t for you, Cheng and I might never have had any hope in this life. I originally wanted Xiao Lin to give you this invitation, but I didn’t expect to run into you here, so I hope you can come to our wedding.”

"Okay, I'll definitely go." After exchanging a few polite words with Qi Huan and A Cheng, Wang Shen watched them leave.

Wang Shen stood at the office door, staring blankly at Qi Huan and A Cheng's figures. Seeing the scene before him, many of the gloomy thoughts that had been weighing on Wang Shen's heart seemed to dissipate. Just as Wang Shen was lost in thought, Wu Yi walked out of the office, glanced at the empty corridor, then at Wang Shen, and patted him on the shoulder.

"Officer Wang, are you thinking about dating?" Wu Yi joked.

Wang Shen immediately snapped out of his daze, glanced at Wu Yi, and then shook his head with a smile.

At this moment, Wu Yi stared at the empty corridor and said meaningfully, "It's true, a fire takes away a beautiful appearance, but it forges the best love. These two are really lucky." After saying that, Wu Yi and Wang Shen walked into the office together.

"Please have a seat," Wu Yi said to Wang Shen, then went to the water dispenser to pour him a glass of water, and took a document from his desk and handed it to him.

Wang Shen opened the document Wu Yi had given him, and on the first page was written Han Lin's name.

"This is Han Lin's autopsy report. It was only completed yesterday, and I haven't had time to give it to you yet," Wu Yi explained the basic contents of the document.

“I conducted a thorough examination of Han Lin’s body and can determine that his time of death was indeed between 2:00 and 3:00 AM. The cause of death was indeed a fall. Apart from the scar on his back, there were no other external injuries on the deceased’s body. And that scar was not recently formed. Simply put, the cause of death is a fall.” Wu summarized Han Lin’s death report in one breath.

When Wang Shen heard the time of Han Lin's death, he recalled the time of the incoming call on Han Lin's phone. Wang Shen remembered clearly that the call came in around 1 a.m., while Han Lin's time of death was between 2 and 3 a.m., which matched perfectly. Apart from that, Han Lin's death report didn't have much value.

After figuring out the problem, Wang Shen closed Han Lin's death report. Wu Yi immediately understood Wang Shen's meaning, and then took two more sheets of paper from the table and handed them to Wang Shen.

“Your people brought me several blood samples early this morning. Detailed autopsy results are hard to obtain immediately, so I spent the morning testing the blood samples. Then I compared these blood samples with the blood samples from the newly arrived deceased.”

"Is this the result?" Wang Shen became somewhat agitated after hearing Wu Yi's words.

Wu Yi nodded.

After receiving a definitive answer from Wu, Wang Shen began to examine the data at hand. After a while, Wang Shen looked at Wu helplessly and said, "Dr. Wu, I can't understand any of this dense data."

Wu smiled and said, "The result is simple. Including the deceased's blood data, the blood samples you sent contained blood from three different people. One of the blood samples matched the deceased's blood sample. As for the other two, that's beyond my expertise and authority. This report details the three blood data sets. If you have any suspicious blood samples, I can compare them immediately."

Wang Shen nodded. This outcome was actually consistent with Wang Shen's original guess. There must have been a fierce struggle between the murderer and the victim. Judging from their appearance, the victim was young and physically strong. Therefore, even if the murderer ultimately won the struggle, they would inevitably have been injured.

However, one thing still puzzled Wang Shen. According to Wu Yi, blood samples were collected from three people at the scene. Whose blood sample was the last one? Dean Fu Ju's? Or Han Lin's child's?

As Wang Shen was deep in thought, his phone suddenly rang. He picked it up and saw it was Liang Zichen; it seemed there was another important clue.

"Captain Wang!" Just as Wang Shen answered the phone, Liang Zichen shouted from the other end.

Wang Shen moved the phone away from his ear a little, and after Liang Zichen calmed down, he brought the phone back to his ear and asked, "What's wrong? Why are you so startled?"

Upon hearing Wang Shen's words, Liang Zichen still couldn't contain his excitement and shouted, "Captain Wang, we've found the car owner's information!"

After hearing Liang Zichen's words, Wang Shen felt inexplicably nervous. Who was the owner of the car—the deceased? Who could possibly have made Liang Zichen so surprised?

"Who is it?" Wang Shen asked very succinctly.

"Captain Wang, you'll never guess. We've only heard of this person, never met him. It's both unexpected and yet perfectly logical." Liang Zichen suddenly became suspenseful, not directly telling Wang Shen the final answer.

Wang Shen wasn't in a hurry; he was quite interested in Liang Zichen's description. He'd only heard of him, but never seen him before? Unexpected yet perfectly logical? Wang Shen fell into a brief silence, but after a while, his eyes suddenly widened.

Wang Shen recalled the deceased's face and build, and estimated their age. Right, and that car too. Could this deceased actually be...?

Wang Shenwei closed his eyes briefly, trying to control his emotions, and slowly said into the phone, "I've already guessed who the deceased is."
