Chapter Ninety-Two: University Memories

Qi Huan vigorously wiped away the tears on her face, then turned around and quickly looked in the mirror behind her. Qi Huan frowned, seemingly very dissatisfied with her reflection.

"Xiaolin, wait a minute, could you give me the foundation from my bag? It's over there." Qi Huan glanced at Xu Xiaolin and then pointed to the bag that was placed not far away.

Xu Xiaolin didn't answer, but simply nodded slightly. She walked to her bag, rummaged through it, and took out Qi Huan's foundation. Xu Xiaolin went to Qi Huan's side and handed her the foundation.

Qi Huan took the foundation, a slight smile appearing on her face. She pointed to the phone in Xu Xiaolin's hand, waved her hand, and then put her index finger to her lips. Qi Huan carefully opened the foundation with one hand and placed it on the back of the chair. Then, she vigorously applied the foundation with a powder puff. With a clatter, the foundation box fell to the ground. But Qi Huan's other hand remained firmly gripping the fruit knife. The blade of the fruit knife remained pressed against Han Lin's neck, without any loosening of her grip.

Qi Huan carefully applied foundation to her face, glancing at herself in the mirror a few times along the way. Finally, feeling that she looked presentable enough to meet A-Cheng, she gave Xu Xiaolin a slight smile.

"Xiaolin, give me your phone." Qi Huan called out Xu Xiaolin's name.

Xu Xiaolin nodded and handed the phone to Qi Huan.

"Acheng." Qi Huan's tone became exceptionally gentle. She picked up her phone, making sure only her face appeared in the screenshot of the video.

When Acheng saw Qi Huan in the video, he became somewhat agitated. His bandaged arm even managed to move a couple of times.

"Acheng, don't move, I can see you." Qi Huan laughed and cried at the same time, and occasionally covered her mouth with her hand.

"Acheng, how are you feeling?" Qi Huan asked, looking at Acheng.

Acheng seemed only able to utter faint words, but it was impossible to hear what he was saying on the phone. Acheng was also a little anxious; he wanted to communicate with Qi Huan, but found himself struggling. In the end, Acheng could only nod to reassure Qi Huan.

Seeing Qi Huan's expression, Acheng seemed to have tears welling up in his eyes as well. The nurse standing beside him immediately and carefully wiped away the tears from Acheng's eyes.

"Acheng, don't be sad, everything will be alright. You'll be okay." Qi Huan wiped away her tears and comforted him when she saw Acheng's condition.

Ah Cheng mumbled something under his breath, then shook his head.

"Don't be silly, how could I abandon you? You are my weakness, and you are also my armor." After saying that, Qi Huan and A Cheng looked at each other, their eyes always moist.

Hearing Qi Huan's words, A-Cheng's agitated emotions calmed down. A-Cheng nodded slightly and looked at Qi Huan. After they looked at each other for a while, A-Cheng let out some sobbing sounds again. Qi Huan looked at A-Cheng carefully, and after a while, nodded heavily again.

Ah Cheng finally calmed down, then moved his mouth slightly, and a faint smile seemed to appear on his face.

"Acheng, don't worry, I understand what you mean. You get some rest, I'll wait for you." After saying that, Qi Huan handed the phone back to Xu Xiaolin.

Qi Huan continued to laugh and cry at the same time, then wiped away her tears again. "Thank you," Qi Huan said, glancing at Xu Xiaolin and then at Wang Shen.

As soon as Qi Huan finished speaking, there was a clinking sound, and the fruit knife in her hand slipped and fell to the floor. Qi Huan sat down on the edge of the bed, as if all her strength had been drained.

"Do you understand what Acheng means?" Wang Shen looked at Qi Huan and said seriously. Although Wang Shen hadn't heard what Acheng had said clearly, he could roughly guess what Acheng meant from Qi Huan's reaction.

Hearing Wang Shen's words, Qi Huan looked up at him and nodded. "Although I couldn't hear what A-Cheng was saying, I understood what he meant. He told me to let go." After saying that, Qi Huan gave a silent, bitter smile. "He also told me that no matter who waits for whom, we will keep waiting."

After listening to Qi Huan's words, Wang Shen and Liang Zichen exchanged a glance, then looked at Qi Huan, seemingly moved by the relationship between her and Acheng.

"I never knew such beautiful feelings could exist in this society." Xu Xiaolin seemed a little emotional, looking at Qi Huan while wiping away tears from her eyes.

After a few minutes of silence, Wang Shen finally spoke. "Now that Acheng is alright, can you be frank with us about some things?"

As soon as Wang Shen finished speaking, everyone looked up at him. Qi Huan sighed and nodded.

"What exactly is the entanglement between you and Han Lin? What exactly is the evidence he has against you? I hope you will tell me the truth." Wang Shen picked up the notebook in his hand, ready to listen to Qi Huan's story.

Suddenly, Wang Shen tapped his nose on his notebook and glanced at Han Lin sitting in the chair. "By the way, before we start talking, let's help Han Lin treat his wounds, shall we?"

Qi Huan glanced at Han Lin sitting to the side; blood was still seeping from the wound on his thigh. Qi Huan nodded.

"Mr. Qi, do you have a first-aid kit?" Wang Shen continued to ask.

"Yes, it's under the TV cabinet in the living room. Xiaolin, go get it for them," Qi Huan said, glancing at Xu Xiaolin.

"Zichen, come downstairs and get it with me. Then help Han Lin treat his wounds," Wang Shen instructed Liang Zichen, who was standing to the side. Xu Xiaolin and Liang Zichen nodded at the same time, went downstairs to get the first-aid kit, and began to treat Han Lin's wounds.

"Throughout my life, I've been arrogant and self-assured, and I thought I was carefree and didn't care much about anything. But I overestimated my own humanity..." Qi Huan began her story.
