Chapter 15 Departure
Jiang Xianchuan observed the zombies downstairs from the window. Perhaps because they had not eaten fresh human flesh for a long time, many of the corpses had decayed a lot.
"We'll go out the back door later. I'll go in front, Shi Yi, you'll be in the middle, and Ling Yu, you'll be behind."
The two nodded, and then Jiang Xianchuan pointed at the map and said, "To get to Yuanshan Community, we need to go through the mall, but the mall has a lot of people and there might be a lot of zombies, so we should go around the vegetable market here and then return the same way."
After sorting out the route, Jiang Xianchuan looked at the door through the surveillance camera. After confirming that there were no zombies wandering in the corridor, he opened the door and walked out. Soon after, Shi Yi and Li Lingyu followed him out.
Jiang Xianchuan closed the door gently, trying not to make any noise, then walked downstairs carefully, leaning against the wall. When he arrived at the door of the unit, he looked at the zombies standing outside the door, took out a can from his backpack and threw it out.
Hearing the sound, several highly decayed zombies staggered towards the direction of the can. Several people also took the opportunity to leave the building and headed towards the back door of the community.
Even though they were very careful, they were still discovered by a few zombies. Jiang Xianchuan waved the dagger in his hand and quickly dealt with the approaching zombies.

Jiang Xianchuan took the lead and squeezed into the gap between the two cars, followed closely by Shi Yi and Li Lingyu.
They walked along the body of the car, step by step, forward. After an unknown amount of time, they finally arrived at the entrance of the vegetable market.
The market was filled with a foul smell, and the ground was littered with rotten vegetable leaves and bloodstains. In the distance, some zombies were wandering aimlessly.
The three of them looked at each other and fell silent. Jiang Xianchuan signaled him to take action, then quietly approached a lone zombie, suddenly jumped up, and stabbed the zombie's head with a knife, and the zombie fell to the ground instantly.
The three continued to move forward, and more and more zombies appeared in front of them with roars, but fortunately Jiang Xianchuan and Li Lingyu cooperated well and kept destroying the approaching zombies.
Finally, they arrived at the exit of the vegetable market. Jiang Xianchuan panted heavily, looking at the empty streets outside, and felt a little relieved.
However, at this moment, a roar came from not far away, and zombies poured out like a tide.
"Run!" Jiang Xianchuan immediately took the lead in running upon seeing this, but strangely, some zombies were incredibly fast and managed to leave the zombies behind them behind.
Jiang Xianchuan took the two people into a hotel, kicked open a door and immediately pulled the two people into the room, then dragged the cabinet over to block the door.
Listening to the zombies knocking frantically outside the door, Jiang Xianchuan sat on the ground gasping for breath, feeling somewhat exhausted. Beads of sweat rolled down his forehead, soaking his clothes.
The thrilling escape just now made his heart beat faster and his breathing quicken. If it had been a second later, he might have become food for those terrible creatures.
"No one told me that zombies would evolve at such a speed." Jiang Xianchuan was a little overwhelmed.
"What should we do now?" Shi Yi asked anxiously.
"We can only wait a little longer and go out after they disperse." Jiang Xianchuan replied.
The three of them were silent, the atmosphere was tense and depressing, time passed by, and every impact of the zombies made their nerves tense to the extreme. Jiang Xianchuan held his weapon tightly, ready to deal with any emergency at any time.
I don't know how long it took, but the sound outside the door gradually weakened until it disappeared completely.
Jiang Xianchuan approached the door cautiously and observed the situation outside through the crack. After confirming that most of the zombies had dispersed, he gently opened the door and walked out of the room cautiously.
