Cao Shuang

Cao Shuang

I kind of understand why some readers can't accept it. It's because they find it very abrupt that one of the main characters is killed without any preparation.

There are definitely readers who have other reasons, but I would like to explain to those readers who think I am being abrupt. Cao Shuang is the only person whose death I have been paving the way for since I first mentioned the Monkey King in Chapter 60, or in other words, almost most of the descriptions of him in the entire book are paving the way for his death.

There is basically some symbolic writing between every couple in this book, including Su Miaomiao's own "cage", the sun and moon of the male and female protagonists, Zhong Jincheng and Luo Wei's absurd personalities to accepting their own shortcomings, and finally taking on responsibilities and obligations.

Almost all of their characters serve the relationship between the two, but Cao Shuang is the only one whose symbolic writing does not serve the relationship - he likes the Monkey King.

He likes the Monkey King and admires people who have similar figures to the Monkey King. In the end, he doesn't need to regard others as the Monkey King and wants to become the Monkey King himself.

This also includes what Cao Shuang said to Lu Yuanqiu earlier: "You still have one life left, Brother Qiu." I wonder if anyone still remembers it.

It also includes the fact that Cao Shuang is the only one who knows the fact that Lu Yuanqiu has been reborn.

This also includes the next line of the lyrics "Just climbed over a few mountains and crossed a few rivers", which was never sung:

"Rugged and bumpy, why is it so bumpy?"

Even the thing that makes readers feel the most disgusted with me is that I have always written Cao Shuang very well, completely serving the protagonist, with almost no shortcomings. All the good things I wrote about him were paving the way for the regret of his offline.

In all of the above, regarding many places where he appears, I have been expressing my "self-perceived foreshadowing". Maybe it seems worthless or even a little funny to you, but this is my best level.

The above explanations are not meant to express your dissatisfaction with "not understanding me". I just want to explain that I didn't want to kill anyone on a whim just to see your surprised expressions and then feel complacent.

Really not.

Cao Shuang was the bravest attempt in my writing career, and I have no regrets.

But I also failed. The criticism I received proved that I didn’t achieve the effect I wanted.

But I also have a success, that is, you like him.

I won’t change his ending, but I can also guarantee that he is the only one in this article.

All the regrets in the book will be explained in the extra chapters.

Different people leave at the end of each volume of this book, but the third volume is undoubtedly the most controversial one, which I regret and feel sad about.

I would also like to say something to those who choose to stay and continue to support me: I will finish writing this story with all my heart.

The last sentence, I never felt that I was writing a purely cool article.
