Chapter 14 sold out

I had agreed yesterday to have a friendly competition with the old man who sells noodles.

Upon arriving at the destination, Liu Yihang immediately prepared a plate of egg fried rice and served it to the old man.

The old man took a bite and praised it highly.

They very thoughtfully returned a bowl of noodles with beef topping to him, probably the most expensive topping he ever had.

Liu Yihang had just eaten, but couldn't finish a whole bowl of noodles, so he and Liu Xiangdong each ate half.

Well, the old man's noodles were very chewy, the toppings were generous, and they smelled good, but the taste was a bit lacking.

However, it's still considered a very good value noodle dish.

It was still early, so Lin Guihua made preparations.

Liu Yihang started making fried rice with eggs.

After it's done, just put it directly into a takeout box and then into a bag. In the middle of summer, it will cool down slowly.

Liu Xiangdong helped his son, watching him cook the fried rice while using old newspapers to cool him down.

Cooks really have a tough time in the sweltering summer, drenched in sweat and covered in grease.

Soon, the table was piled high with cooked fried rice, probably dozens of servings.

It was midnight.

People gradually came to eat.

After fermenting at noon yesterday, the incredibly delicious egg fried rice caused a huge stir throughout the entire construction site.

Everyone knows that a new stall selling fried rice has appeared. The fried rice smells amazing, has a rich texture, and is a feast for the eyes, nose, and palate.

As a result, many people came to visit because of its reputation.

Quite a few people came to watch the spectacle.

The three small tables were quickly filled.

Lin Guihua walked happily among the diners, serving them a bowl of cooled egg drop soup.

These are all gods of wealth; we must treat them well.

Liu Xiangdong was in charge of selling the prepared boxed meals. It was simple; people just paid and took them away.

It was midday and very hot. Although there was shade, most people chose to pack their meals to take home and eat. As a result, the boxed lunches that Liu Yihang had prepared were sold out in less than ten minutes.

There were still many people waiting to eat.

Liu Yihang was frying rice without stopping for a moment.

The three of them were busy until around one o'clock when the number of customers decreased slightly.

The owners of the two nearby stir-fry restaurants were practically spitting fire with rage.

They never expected that this young man could single-handedly steal their business.

There were fewer customers at their stall today than yesterday.

Everyone went there specifically to try Liu Yihang's delicious egg fried rice.

Liu Yihang looked at the remaining rice in the bucket; there was very little left, enough to make at most ten more servings of fried rice.

"Yihang, Uncle Liu, Aunt Lin, I brought my colleagues to support you. Eight servings of fried rice with eggs." Fang Da's cheerful voice rang in my ears.

Lin Guihua quickly tidied up the two tables that had just been cleared out.

"Xiao Fang is here! Please, everyone, have a seat. Auntie will serve you some tomato and egg soup to quench your thirst," Lin Guihua greeted them skillfully.

She has always been easygoing, and after these two days of practice, she is now quite adept at greeting guests.

Liu Xiangdong is a bit quiet and not very good at entertaining guests, but he's perfect for the kitchen.

Their personalities complement each other well.

Fangda kept his word and actually brought several colleagues from the office to support them today.

Knowing that there are many customers during mealtimes, they didn't arrive until 1 o'clock.

"Brother Fang, you've come at the perfect time. There's only a little rice left, and it'll be gone once it's cooked." Liu Yihang greeted him with a smile and started frying the rice.

Just then, another customer arrived.

Make enough for three pots.

The guests who arrived later had to apologize, as there was no rice left.

After entertaining Fang Da and his colleagues, Fang Da insisted on paying them, and Lin Guihua reluctantly accepted.

The family prepared to pack up their stall. They closed earlier today than yesterday and sold even more.

Liu Yihang prepared about 150 servings, thinking there would be some left over, but they were all sold out.

Perhaps it's because it's newly opened and has been widely publicized, which has piqued everyone's curiosity.

I reckon business won't be as good as it is today in a few days, since you get tired of eating fried rice every day.

After the group left.

Looking at the meat and vegetables that he had barely sold today, Wang Dazhuang was on the verge of tears. What kind of situation was this? If things continued like this, he might as well just close down.

The shop owner next door came over.

“Boss Wang, if we let this kid keep getting cocky, both of our businesses will have to close down.”

"Yes, that's exactly what I meant," Wang Dazhuang's wife sighed.

A middle-aged man with a pointed mouth and monkey-like cheeks leaned closer and said, "I have an idea to get rid of him."

"What idea?" Wang Dazhuang turned his head.

“…”

After discussing it for a while, the group revealed smug smiles.

Back in their rented room, the Liu family washed up and rested briefly before starting to prepare the things they would need for their evening stall.

The main task is to skewer meat and vegetables onto bamboo skewers.

Liu Yihang did it quite well, but Liu Xiangdong and Lin Guihua were not so skilled.

They pricked their hands several times, but luckily their hands were rough and calloused from years of hard work, so they didn't bleed.

After getting to know each other for a while, under Liu Yihang's guidance, the two gradually became faster and better at it.

After packing everything up and loading it onto the tricycle, it was already 4 PM. It would take another half an hour to cycle from here to the food street, so we could set off.

As usual, Liu Yihang rode his tricycle, while Liu Xiangdong led Lin Guihua, and they set off one after the other.

Braving the scorching sun, the family finally arrived at the food street.

Liu Yihang rode his tricycle, which was loaded with heavy goods. When he arrived at the destination, he looked like he had been pulled out of the water, and his clothes and hair were completely soaked.
