Chapter 1 Impulse

Chapter 1 Impulse

Parallel universe.

1975, Xijiang.

Before lunch time, the back kitchen of the Heavy Industry Bureau was bustling.

Du Shaojie, who was 1.8 meters tall, held a kitchen knife high with his eyes wide open. If two strong guys hadn't hugged him, something might have happened.

The canteen manager Dai Tong, who was short and fat, had already run to the small door of the back kitchen. But he was willing to leave in such an embarrassing way. If this got out, his reputation as a "coward" would be confirmed.

"What's the matter? Do you still want to chop people? I think you don't want your job anymore."

Dai Tong took a breath, and when he saw Du Shaojie being held by someone, he became excited again.

Du Shaojie didn't look strong, but he had a lot of strength. Inspired by this, he suddenly broke free from the restraints on his body and rushed towards Dai Tong with big strides.

There were two or three round potatoes scattered on the ground. No one noticed them because of the mess. Du Shaojie didn't notice them either. He only had Dai Tong in his eyes.

But it just happened that one of his feet stepped on a potato, and he lost his balance and fell to the ground.

"Dang."

The kitchen knife flew out of his hand and was thrown far away.

Du Shaojie slammed his head to the ground, struggled for a few times and then stopped moving.

Dai Tong didn't react until then. At that moment, he even felt that his little heart was about to jump out. Seeing Du Shaojie fall, he was so happy that he couldn't help cursing. The curse was so ugly.

"Shut your bird mouth! If someone dies, you will be shot. Go and call Dr. Wang from the infirmary."

Liao Yongxin, the master chef of the cafeteria, shouted, and then ran over to check on Du Shaojie.

Some people went to the infirmary to call the doctor, and some went to the general affairs department to report the situation. The whole cafeteria was in chaos.

After an unknown amount of time, Du Shaojie slowly woke up. He opened his eyes with great effort, and saw a figure in a white coat riding on his body, with a pair of hands constantly pressing on his chest.

"Huh"

a relieved exhalation sound came from all around.

Wang Liwen was sweating from exhaustion, and she couldn't help but smile at this time. She immediately stopped what she was doing, got off Du Shaojie's body and stood aside.

Du Shaojie was just dizzy by the two balls under the white coat, and in an unfamiliar environment surrounded by strangers, he felt that his brain was not working.

If I remember correctly, I was preparing dinner at home before, and the braised prawns were not out of the pot yet, so why did I end up here in a trance?

Suddenly, the chaotic memories stirred his brain like a whirlwind, and the needle-like pain made him groan.

"Am I wearing it?"

Du Shaojie didn't have time to sort out the memories of his original body, and he sat up in excitement.

A group of people in rough work clothes were surrounding him, and there was also a very pleasing-looking female doctor. The female doctor was no more than 30 years old, and there was a word printed on the left chest of her white coat, which read "Xijiang Heavy Industry Bureau Medical Office". He

was now in the back kitchen of the canteen of the Heavy Industry Bureau, and he, Du Shaojie, was an apprentice in the canteen.

"Don't get excited, calm down, stay calm. Take a deep breath with me, breathe in and relax."

Wang Liwen was a young doctor. It was she who decisively used cardiopulmonary resuscitation on Du Shaojie just now, and pulled him back from the gates of hell.

When she came, the young man could no longer feel his pulse, and now he must not let his condition recur because of emotional problems.

Du Shaojie opened his mouth slightly, trying to calm himself down.

He naturally had no experience with time travel, but at least he had seen it in novels before, right?

His current body was that of a young apprentice, only eighteen years old, who had been repeatedly harassed by the cafeteria manager Dai Tong at work, which led to today's conflict. Regardless of who was right or wrong, what the hell was going on with a kitchen knife ready to chop someone?

"Young man, you are too impulsive!"

Before crossing over, he was considered a semi-successful person, with a car, a house, a wife and a girl.

Although he was overwhelmed by the mortgage, he always faced life positively. He had many hobbies. When he was free, he liked to cook for his mother and daughter. It was his greatest enjoyment after being busy.

But he crossed over just because of a disagreement. Who can he reason with?

What should he do now? It is a taboo to stage a full-scale fight in the unit. I am afraid that this level will not be easy to pass.

"What are you doing here? No lunch?"

Just as Du Shaojie was secretly thinking about how to pass the level, Jiang Xianfa, deputy section chief of the General Affairs Section, came over.

Jiang Xianfa was in his forties, with a thick head of black hair with a little bit of natural curls. The other party was usually generous and could chat with anyone, but today he looked very serious.

The onlookers immediately dispersed and began to do their own things. In fact, even if Section Chief Jiang didn't come, they would still go to work. After all, delaying lunch time would be a serious accident, and no one could afford the consequences.

"Du Shaojie, your son is quite courageous. Why didn't I see it before? Tell me, why did you chase Dai Tong with a kitchen knife?"

Jiang Xianfa despised people like Dai Tong the most. They bullied the weak and feared the strong. They had one face when meeting their superiors, and another face when facing ordinary workers.

But what Du Shaojie did today was really too much,

and he had to be dealt with. Du Shaojie cursed the original body in his heart. Isn't it an art to struggle? Just holding a kitchen knife and doing it hard is the behavior of a fool and a brainless joke.

The mistakes made by the original body can only be borne by him.

"No, I didn't think of hacking anyone. Dai Tong just scolded my dad, I was so angry, I just wanted to cut potatoes to vent, who knew it would cause such a big misunderstanding? Chief Jiang, I was wrong, I must stay calm in the future and never cause trouble for the leader."

Du Shaojie stood up slowly and tried to force a smile.

With his rich life experience, he could never admit that he had the intention to kill before. Some things are judged by deeds rather than intentions. Anyway, Dai Tong is fine, I must insist that this is a misunderstanding.

Everyone in the bureau knows that Dai Tong has made things difficult for Du Shaojie because of his nephew's work quota.

Du Shaojie got this worker quota first and entered the canteen as an apprentice, while Dai Tong's nephew is still a temporary worker.

This is how the conflict between the two people came about.

When Du Shaojie thought of this work quota, his chest inexplicably hurt. This is a knot in the original body, after all, this work quota was exchanged for his father's life.

"Chief Jiang, I think Du Shaojie is fine, so I'll go back first. Xiao Du, you'd better avoid emotional ups and downs in the future. You still have to go to the People's Hospital for a check-up to see if there is any problem with your heart."

Wang Liwen nodded at Jiang Xianfa, and then said something to Du Shaojie, then turned around and returned to the infirmary.

The infirmary can usually only treat headaches and fevers, prescribe some common medicines and injections, and if you encounter a serious illness, you still have to go to the hospital.

"Thank you for your hard work, Doctor Wang!"

"Thank you, Doctor Wang!"

Jiang Xianfa and Du Shaojie responded to each other, and when Wang Liwen left the cafeteria, their eyes intertwined again.

The new book is launched, and I hope to get your support!

Thank you!
