The next day, Chen Ze arrived at the company early in the morning and instructed the busy Shen Xiyu, "Get ready, we're going to India."
"Okay, boss."
Then, he called Zhang Guoheng and asked him to come to the company to meet him.
At dawn, sunlight filtered through thin clouds and fell on the earth. The clock struck ten o'clock, and Chen Ze led his team members to Kyoto Airport in a hurry.
Just as they stepped into the waiting hall, they unexpectedly encountered another group of people—it was Lan Shuiyao and her companions.
Lan Shuiyao, with her sharp eyes, spotted Chen Ze immediately. She quickly stepped forward and asked with a smile, "Boss, where are you headed in such a hurry?"
Chen Ze returned the smile and replied simply, "I'm going to India just like you."
Upon hearing this, Lan Shuiyao blinked, a slight smile playing on her lips, and said with a hint of teasing, "Oh, boss, could it be that you're worried I can't handle things over there by myself, so you came along to supervise me?"
Faced with Lan Shuiyao's joke, Chen Ze replied seriously, "President Lan, please don't say that. I have complete confidence in your abilities, just as much as I have in myself!"
Hearing her boss's resolute words, Lan Shuiyao's previously uneasy heart instantly calmed down. She thoughtfully glanced at the eight-person team behind Chen Ze.
He wondered to himself what their purpose was in going to India, but ultimately did not dare to ask.
Shortly after, the boarding announcement came over the loudspeaker. The passengers proceeded orderly through the security checkpoint and boarded the flight to India.
After everyone found their seats, the plane quickly taxied to the runway and took off with a loud roar.
After settling into his seat, Chen Ze skillfully took out an eye mask from his backpack, gently put it on his eyes, and then adjusted his posture to make himself as comfortable as possible.
At this moment, memories from his past life flashed through his mind like a movie playing out—the Indian stock market had been able to rise continuously for as long as 30 years!
With such an enticing opportunity before him, he was determined to go and try his luck, and reap a substantial share of the profits.
Thinking of this, a confident smile unconsciously crept onto Chen Ze's lips.
The plane was flying smoothly in the air. Lan Shuiyao turned her head to look at Chen Ze, who was wearing an eye mask, her heart filled with curiosity.
"Boss, do you think that Tam company is reliable?" Lan Shuiyao asked in a low voice.
Chen Ze opened his eyes and glanced at her: "President Lan, when you get to New Delhi, talk to Tam Company first and see what they're up to. Whether they succeed or not is not important. What's important is that you experience the foreign investment environment. Also, don't just listen to what Indian officials say; you need to investigate and understand the Indian investment market environment yourself."
"Okay, I'll do as you say." Lan Shuiyao knew that her boss was testing her abilities.
Several hours later, the plane landed at an Indian airport.
Inside the airport terminal, Lan Shuiyao and her four companions were picked up by people from Tam Company.
As Chen Ze led the group out of the airport, a strong smell of curry wafted towards them.
They settled into their pre-booked hotel, took a hot shower, and then lay down to rest.
The next morning, Chen Ze and the others woke up and went to the hotel's dining hall to have breakfast.
But when Chen Ze saw the yellow curry that looked like poop, they instantly lost their appetite.
Chen Ze frowned and muttered under his breath, "This looks terrible."
The companion next to him couldn't help but complain, "This looks unpalatable; we might as well go hungry."
Everyone shook their heads helplessly, preparing to leave the restaurant and find another place to have breakfast.
Just then, a waiter came over, smiling, and asked, "Gentlemen, are you not satisfied with our breakfast?"
Chen Ze politely replied, "This curry doesn't look very appetizing."
The waiter quickly explained, "This is a local specialty, and it actually tastes quite good. Why don't you give it a try?"
Chen Ze hesitated for a moment, then waved his hand and said, "Forget it, let's go out and find something else to eat."
After saying that, the group left the hotel restaurant and searched for more palatable food on the street.
Eight people were walking down the street, looking for a decent restaurant to eat at.
Zhang Guoheng frowned: "Boss, how come there are cows all over the streets of the Indian capital, and they're shitting everywhere?"
Chen Ze laughed and said, "In their hearts, cattle are gods, extremely revered."
When they passed an open-air toilet, the smell was so overpowering that they immediately quickened their pace and left.
Shen Xiyu complained, "This doesn't feel like a national capital at all. It feels like I've entered a garbage dump, with trash and flies everywhere."
They had a kilometer's worth of restaurants from other countries, only local, terrible food.
Left with no other option, they took a taxi to Walmart and the group bought bread to eat.
After eating and drinking his fill, Chen Ze went to a bank to exchange rupees, exchanging a total of three hundred million US dollars.
After exchanging the money, Chen Ze led them to the Indian Stock Exchange. Along the way, the streets were filled with various noises and crowded people.
Upon arriving at the exchange, Chen Ze and the others found a place to sit down and began to observe the market trends.
He discovered that although the trading rules here were different from those in China, there were still patterns to follow. However, the eyes of those around him would often be drawn to them, the outsiders.
Just as Chen Ze was engrossed in studying the data, an Indian man dressed in traditional clothing approached them.
He began by asking, "Are you Chinese or Korean? Making money here isn't easy." The man spoke in heavily accented English.
Chen Ze looked at him warily: "We are Chinese, thank you for the reminder, but we have our own plans."
The man smiled and handed Chen Ze a business card with the name of a financial institution printed on it. "If you run into trouble, you can come to me."
After saying that, he turned and left.
Chen Ze stared at the business card in thought for a moment, then put it away. He knew that in a foreign country, having more connections meant having more security.
Next, the group took a taxi back to the hotel, bringing along a large amount of bread and snacks, as they planned to work from the hotel.
Back in the room, Chen Ze said, "This time we'll use a quantitative program to make a quick profit and then leave. India is a very strict place, and it would be a real problem if our security agencies caught us."
Zhang Guoheng laughed and said, "Big boss, I feel like Indian money tastes like curry; you might get diarrhea if you're not careful."
Chen Ze thought to himself: Fortunately, Modi is not the prime minister now, otherwise it would be difficult to speculate in stocks in India.
