Chen Ze led everyone to the outside of Wang Sikong's house, and he instructed the others, "Wait for me in the car."
He then entered the living room, gently sat down on the soft, comfortable sofa, and kept his eyes straight ahead.
Just then, a graceful figure came into view. It was Wang Siyu's mother, Ye Qingya. She walked towards him carrying a steaming cup of water and placed it on the coffee table.
"Xiao Chen, please sit for a while. The old man is getting dressed in his room right now," Ye Qingya said with a smile.
Chen Ze nodded politely, indicating his understanding and patience. Time passed slowly, and about two minutes later, a light footstep sound came from behind.
Immediately afterwards, a sprightly old man with a full head of white hair slowly walked out of the bedroom.
The old man walked steadily to the seat opposite Chen Ze and sat down, then began to carefully examine the young man in front of him.
After a moment, the old man nodded in satisfaction and praised, "Hmm, this young man is really good-looking! He has a dignified appearance and is quite handsome, even more so than that boy from the Zhang family."
"Moreover, Sikong said that your abilities are also quite outstanding. My granddaughter's vision is indeed unique and sharp enough to discover such an excellent talent as you. As for your affairs, I have already heard Sikong tell you the general story."
Hearing the old man's praise, Chen Ze smiled broadly, but at the same time asked somewhat anxiously, "Then may I ask, can this matter be resolved properly?"
The old man smiled slightly and replied, "I can solve it, but I won't personally intervene. After all, the benefits you offer mainly involve business, and the Wang family's direct descendants need those things."
For Chen Ze, as long as the problem can be resolved smoothly in the end, it doesn't really matter who comes forward to help.
Wang Zuyao also stood up, and as he walked towards the door, he turned back to Chen Ze and said, "Let's go, I'll take you to the Wang family's direct line; they can definitely help you solve this."
Chen Ze got up and followed.
A moment later, they arrived at a large villa estate, which covered a very large area. By the light of the lamps, they could see a large lawn and an outdoor swimming pool.
After a dozen or so people entered the hall, Wang Zuyao led Chen Ze alone to the door of the study on the second floor and knocked three times.
"Come in."
A majestic voice came from inside.
"Snap!"
Wang Zuyao opened the door and went inside.
Inside sat an elderly man in a Tang suit. Wang Zuyao stepped forward to greet him: "Brother Xian, I'm so sorry to bother you so late. This young man is my Siyu's future husband, Chen Ze."
The old man with gray hair, a kind face, and deep eyes slowly raised his head and stared intently at Chen Ze standing in front of him. In just this brief glance, he seemed to be able to see through all the secrets deep in Chen Ze's heart.
Immediately afterwards, the old man slightly raised his hand, extended a slightly withered finger, pointed to the neatly arranged stools to the side, and said slowly, "Don't stand there, come and sit down and talk slowly."
The old man is Wang Zongxian, the head of the Wang family in Beijing. He once served as the commander of the Beijing Army. Although he has now retired, he still has considerable influence, since many of his former subordinates are still in important positions.
Seeing this, Chen Ze quickly stepped forward, a humble yet polite smile on his face: "Thank you." After saying that, he sat down on the designated stool as instructed.
After settling in, Chen Ze took a deep breath and began to recount his ordeal in detail.
He spoke at a moderate pace, his words clear and fluent, narrating the entire incident in great detail.
The old man listened quietly to Chen Ze's story, without uttering a single word. Only long after Chen Ze had finished speaking did the old man reach out and gently stroke the few sparse strands of beard on his chin, nodding thoughtfully.
Then he said, "That girl from the Li family has always had high standards; anything she sets her sights on must be extraordinary. Since that's the case..."
At this point, the old man paused slightly, turned to look at Wang Zuyao sitting on the other side, and then instructed, "Leave this matter to Xiao Cheng to handle."
After speaking, the old man picked up the cell phone on the table and skillfully dialed a number.
After a few beeping sounds, the other end of the phone answered quickly. The old man gave a few brief instructions and then hung up.
Time passed by, and after about ten minutes, the study door, which had been tightly closed, was suddenly pushed open gently from the outside.
A man who appeared to be around thirty years old walked in with steady steps. He had sharp eyebrows and bright eyes, a tall and upright posture, and exuded an air of competence and composure.
As soon as he entered the room, the man clasped his hands in a respectful greeting to everyone inside and said in a loud voice, "Grandpa, Second Master, I wonder if you called me here so late because there is something important that you need me to do?"
At this moment, the grandfather, who was sitting upright in the main seat, had a slightly gloomy expression and said somewhat irritably:
"Hmph! If it weren't for some urgent and troublesome matter, would I have specifically called you here for a chat in the middle of the night? Zuyao, quickly tell Sicheng about the current situation in detail."
Upon hearing this, Wang Zuyao, who had been standing quietly to the side, quickly responded and then recounted to Wang Sicheng what Chen Ze had said earlier, and introduced Chen Ze to him.
Wang Sicheng is Wang Zongxian's youngest grandson, the third child in his family. He is mainly in charge of the Wang family's Bohai Group and has outstanding personal abilities.
