Huang Nanlin, the workshop supervisor, is thirty-five years old and comes from Hecheng. He is an ordinary middle-aged man who seems to have many stories to tell.
After carefully reading through the basic information about the workshop supervisor, Chen Ze gently handed it to his bodyguard, Tian Puzhong, and decisively gave the order:
"Old Tian, take this information and head to Huang Nanlin's village immediately, according to the address he registered there."
"Once you get there, ask his neighbors, relatives, or friends to find out exactly why he took leave to go home. Remember, don't overlook any details."
Tian Puzhong nodded solemnly and replied, "Yes, boss, rest assured, I will definitely live up to your expectations."
Chen Ze then added, "Yes, time is of the essence, so you should set off now. Try to get back as soon as possible. Also, remember to get receipts for all your travel expenses. I'll reimburse you when you get back."
Without delay after receiving the instructions, Tianpuzhong turned around and quickly left the office, embarking on a journey to investigate the truth.
At the same time, Chen Ze and Zhou Qianqian walked together toward the company's monitoring room.
As they stepped into the monitoring room, the security guard on duty immediately spotted Zhou Qianqian and quickly stood up.
He greeted her with a big smile: "Hello, Mr. Zhou. What brings you to our small monitoring room?"
Zhou Qianqian nodded slightly and instructed methodically, "Captain Yang, thank you for your help. I'm here with the boss to check the surveillance footage. We don't need your help here for now, so you can go and do your work."
Upon hearing this, Captain Yang looked puzzled and muttered under his breath, "President Zhou, the factory manager already personally checked the surveillance footage. Could there possibly be any new problems?"
Chen Ze's face was ashen, his gaze as cold as a knife as he glared at Captain Yang, and he angrily shouted, "If I told you to get out, then get out right now! Why are you rambling on and on?"
His cold and authoritative voice echoed in the room, sending chills down everyone's spine.
Captain Yang, standing to the side, trembled with fright, his face turning deathly pale. He knew that his boss was furious, and if he didn't know his place, the consequences would be unimaginable.
So he quickly smiled and bowed, saying, "Yes, yes, boss, please don't be angry, I'll go out right away."
After saying that, he hurriedly turned and left the room, gently closing the door behind him.
After the security guard left, Chen Ze walked to his desk with a tense face and without saying a word. Just as he was about to sit down and review the surveillance footage himself, Zhou Qianqian, who had been standing in the corner, suddenly walked up quickly and stopped him.
Zhou Qianqian smiled and said softly, "Boss, how can you trouble yourself to do such tiring and tedious work? Leave it to me."
Without waiting for Chen Ze's response, she sat down in front of the computer.
Chen Ze was slightly taken aback, but he didn't say anything. He simply moved a chair over, placed it next to Zhou Qianqian, and slowly sat down.
After a moment's thought, he instructed, "Start by checking Huang Nanlin's first day back at work in Shenzhen on June 15th."
Zhou Qianqian nodded upon hearing this and replied softly, "Okay, boss, I understand."
Then, she typed rapidly on the keyboard with practiced ease. Soon, the surveillance footage from June 15th was clearly displayed on the computer screen.
In the video, Huang Nanlin walks into the company gate with slightly heavy steps. He looks exhausted, with faint dark circles under his eyes.
Nevertheless, a subtle hint of determination could still be detected in his piercing eyes.
Time ticked by, and the surveillance footage kept zooming in. At first, everything seemed calm and peaceful, and no unusual occurrences were observed.
However, neither Chen Ze nor Zhou Qianqian dared to let their guard down. They kept their eyes glued to the screen, afraid of missing even the slightest clue.
Just then, Zhou Qianqian's fingers, which had been moving nimbly, suddenly stopped as if frozen in place, and the image on the screen froze at the moment when Huang Nanlin stepped into the workshop and briefly interacted with another employee.
The employee secretly slipped the envelope into Huang Nanlin's hand. After receiving the envelope, Huang Nanlin's expression inexplicably became tense, as if the envelope contained some unspeakable secret.
Seeing this, Chen Ze, who was staring intently at the screen, frowned and asked in confusion, "President Zhou, are there any employees in the factory who got in through connections?"
Zhou Qianqian said firmly, "Boss, don't worry about that. There are absolutely no people with connections in the factory. I specifically told the HR manager about this."
After saying that, she immediately got up and went to the human resources department, found the human resources manager, explained the situation, and asked for help in finding the employee who handed the envelope to Huang Nanlin in the picture.
Not long after, the HR manager lived up to expectations and found the relevant information.
After some investigation, it was discovered that the man came from the remote Yunnan province. Surprisingly, according to past records, he did not seem to have any direct work-related interactions or connections with the workshop supervisor.
Chen Ze took the document, staring intently at the information on it, then looked up at the HR manager and asked, "Is this ordinary employee still working at our factory?"
