As night fell and all was quiet, the whole world was shrouded in darkness. Zhao Youde drove an off-road vehicle slowly into the indigenous village. The wheels bounced and creaked on the rough dirt road.
Suddenly, a sharp bark shattered the stillness of the night.
Mattila's dog seemed to have sensed the presence of strangers and began barking wildly at Zhao Youde and his two companions. This sudden barking made the originally quiet night somewhat tense.
Mattila immediately became alert inside the house. His wife, looking worried, said to him, "Have wolves entered the village? Go out and take a look."
Mattila, however, remained calm and reassured his wife, "Don't be afraid. Even if lions come, I can handle them."
After saying that, Mattila picked up the spear that was placed against the wall and carefully peeked out to observe the surroundings. His movements were light and cautious, as if he was afraid of disturbing something.
However, to his surprise, the wolves and lions did not appear. His gaze swept around and finally landed on three people wearing white gloves standing about three meters away from the door of his house, watching him silently.
Mattila looked closely and quickly recognized one of the men. He remembered that this man had been here during the day and should be one of the farm owner's men.
Mattila went out of the house and first calmed her dog down.
Then he walked over to the three men and asked in French, "What are you doing here so late at night?"
However, Zhao Youde and his two companions knew absolutely no French and couldn't understand a word Mattila was saying. He simply pulled out ten thousand US dollars and handed it to Mattila, then gestured with his hands to indicate that he should move to the farm to work the next day.
At this moment, the two sons, who had heard the commotion, also came over and watched their father negotiate with the outsiders.
Mattila stared wide-eyed at the money handed to him, his face contorted with rage. His anger flared instantly, and he slammed his right hand out like an enraged lion, slapping the US dollars out of Zhao Youde's hand.
“This is the ancestral land of our Tuva people. I will never move away. You outsiders, get out of here.”
His voice echoed across the empty plains, filled with boundless anger and determination.
Having said that, he gripped the spear tightly in his hand, pointing the spearhead straight at Zhao Youde, as if to tell him that if he did not leave, the spear would mercilessly pierce several holes in his body.
Moreover, Mattila's two sons were also unusually united. They quickly stood beside their father, each holding a spear, with the spearheads pointed at Zhao Youde and his two men.
It also emitted low growls: "Oh! Oh! Oh!" These growls were full of hostility and sent chills down one's spine.
However, Zhao Youde remained unusually calm in the face of such a tense situation. He slightly raised the corners of his mouth, revealing a disdainful smile, as if he did not take the three natives seriously at all.
"If you won't listen to reason, you'll have to suffer the consequences," Zhao Youde said coldly, then gave the order, "Take care of them."
Before the words were finished,
His two well-trained men acted without hesitation, instantly attacking Mattila's two sons.
In that instant, Zhao Youde moved with lightning speed. His left hand gripped Matila's spear tightly like an iron clamp, while a sharp dagger appeared in his right hand without anyone noticing.
He flashed forward like a ghost, quickly closing in on Matila. In an instant, a cold light flashed.
"Hiss."
With a slight tearing sound, a spurt of scarlet blood suddenly gushed from Mattila's neck, splattering all over Zhao Youde's face.
Mattila's body trembled violently. He loosened his grip on the spear and instinctively covered his throat with both hands, trying to stop the gushing blood.
However, it was all too late. Blood gushed out from between his fingers, staining his hands and chest red.
The dog tied to the door of the house saw its owner fall to the ground and immediately started barking fiercely at Zhao Youde, baring its teeth menacingly.
Zhao Youde kicked the end of the spear on the ground with force, and the spear flew out quickly, passing through the dog's neck accurately.
The dog fell silent instantly. Not long after, Zhao Youde's men dragged the body of a dead woman out of the house and carelessly threw it on the ground like trash.
The moment the body hit the ground, a strong stench of blood quickly filled the air, as if it were a signal, attracting the surrounding wild animals.
Zhao Youde cautiously observed his surroundings. He noticed that in the forest not far away, there were green eyes peering through the darkness, staring intently at them.
Zhao Youde took a deep breath, then walked to Gouzi's side, forcefully pulled the spear out of Gouzi's neck, and casually threw it on the ground.
At this moment, one of his men walked over and asked Zhao Youde with a puzzled look, "Boss, aren't we going to bury these people? Isn't it a bit inappropriate to just leave them here?"
Zhao Youde sneered and replied, "What's wrong with that? There's a pack of hungry wolves waiting for this meal over in the forest! If we leave the body here, they can have a good feast, and then no one will suspect that this is a murder."
After saying that, Zhao Youde turned around and got into the car with the other two people. Then he carefully reversed the car to a place 500 meters away and finally turned off the headlights.
When the wolves in the forest saw that the two-legged creatures had left, they immediately became restless, and the wolves began to stir.
Finally, the largest wolf couldn't hold back any longer and charged out first. Seeing this, the other wolves followed suit, like a green torrent, instantly surging towards the corpses on the ground.
In the blink of an eye, seven or eight hungry wolves surrounded the corpse. They opened their blood-red mouths, revealing sharp fangs, and began to tear at the corpse viciously.
The wolves have an astonishing bite force; with each bite, you can hear the "crunching" sound of bones being chewed, a sound that sends chills down your spine.
In less than twenty minutes, the corpses were devoured, and even the dog's body was reduced to just a layer of fur.
When Zhao Youde and his men came over with flashlights to check, they found that Mattila was gone, leaving only two tattered pieces of clothing.
He picked up the ten thousand US dollars from the ground and turned to leave.
The next morning, a Tuvan man returned to retrieve something he had forgotten to take, only to find a pool of blood, human entrails, and many wolf footprints on the ground.
He was immediately alarmed, realizing the seriousness of the situation, and hurriedly ran back to the farm to tell the village chief of Marula.
