At nine o'clock in the evening, Chen Ze got off the bus at the school gate and strode towards the school.
Just as he entered the gate, a white Lamborghini drove out. He noticed that the car looked a bit like Chen Hao's.
As the car passed by him, it stopped. The window slowly rolled down, and Liu Ting looked at him and cursed, "None of you men from Guangcheng are any good. You slept with me for a month and then dumped me."
Chen Ze was amused by her: "No, Sister Liu, I'm not the one who dumped you, why are you taking it out on me?"
"Hmph! You're just like Chen Hao, a playboy who's always looking for something better than what he has."
Chen Ze placed his hand on the car door and comforted you, "Try to think positively. Anyway, you two aren't really in love. It's a mutual exchange. You're after his money, and he's after your body. If I'm not mistaken, this car is compensation for you. It's worth several million, so you're not losing out."
Liu Ting snorted coldly, stepped on the gas, and the Lamborghini roared away.
Watching the car drive away, he shook his head and sighed: "I wonder which woman that Chen Hao has taken a fancy to this time, that's why he dumped Liu Ting."
When Chen Ze returned to the dormitory, Gu Bin cursed at him: "Chen Baiyi, you damn bastard, you didn't even wake the three of us up, making us sleep until ten o'clock."
Enraged, Gao Pengfei threw a mineral water bottle at him and said resentfully, "Old Chen, you should change your surname. The surname 'Keng' would suit your temperament better. I'll also give you a nickname: Old Keng Bi."
Chen Ze dodged the bottle, placed the black plastic bag on the table, took out several bunches of red grapes, peeled off a few and ate them, finding them really sweet.
Gu Bin and his companion's eyes lit up immediately when they saw the grapes. They got up, rushed over, and peeled off a small bunch to eat.
"These grapes are really sweet," Gu Bin chuckled.
Gao Pengfei gave him a thumbs up: "Old Chen, I suddenly realized that you look much more handsome today than yesterday, and you're becoming more and more loyal, knowing how to share good things."
Upon hearing this, his lips twitched. These two changed their tune faster than flipping through a book. Just a moment ago they were cursing at him, but now they're immediately trying to curry favor with him when there's something to gain.
"Where's the big star? I haven't seen him." Chen Ze asked.
Gu Bin chuckled: "He's gone to work as your servant. Lately, this guy has been delivering food every day. He said a chicken leg only costs one yuan online now. I just logged into the Panda Delivery platform to check, and it's true."
Gao Pengfei asked, "Old Chen, if your company sells things like this, won't you go bankrupt in a month?"
Chen Ze shrugged. "There's nothing I can do. Zhang Xuhao, the chairman of Ele.me, is going crazy. I can only go crazy with him and hurt each other. It's just a matter of who has the thickest skin and can withstand it."
Gu Bin asked curiously, "So how much money do you actually lose each month?"
"Not a lot, probably around 20 to 30 million."
Gu Bin rolled his eyes: "Damn it, you got tricked again. Thirty million isn't much."
"Thirty million is just the money for subsidizing consumers; I haven't even calculated the advertising costs yet!"
After saying that, he walked over to Gu Bin's desktop computer, sat down, put on his headphones, and started playing CrossFire. However, after only three rounds, he lost interest because too many people in the game were cheating. Some could fly into the sky, others could go underground, some could lock onto targets, some could see through walls, and some could even get stuck inside metal boxes...
I took off my headphones, got up, grabbed my change of clothes, and went to take a shower.
"Not playing anymore?"
"This is boring, it's all cheaters. I'm going to take a shower."
A moment later, I came out of the bathroom, intending to take a bunch of grapes to bed to eat, only to find that the black bag was completely empty, not even the peels were left.
"Ma De, you two animals, you didn't leave me a single bite, you ate it all."
Gu Bin chuckled and said, "Who told you to take such a long shower like a woman? I couldn't resist and ate them all. It's all because the grapes you bought were too sweet. I just couldn't stop eating them."
Chen Ze gave him the middle finger, then climbed onto the bed and started reading.
The next morning, everyone in the dormitory slept soundly since there were no classes. It wasn't until Chen Ze returned from his run that it was already eight o'clock. Only Zhang Guoheng got up to wash and changed into his Panda delivery uniform.
"Big star, out earning some extra cash again today?"
"Old Chen, I have no choice. I haven't paid back the money I owe you yet, so I can only work like a dog for you. But I've had a lot of orders lately, and I estimate I can earn three thousand yuan by the end of this month."
Chen Ze gave him a thumbs up, "Young man, I like hardworking kids like you. Come on, I'll treat you to breakfast today."
Okay.
Zhang Guoheng picked up a yellow motorcycle helmet and walked ahead.
The two went downstairs, and Zhang Guoheng got on his electric motorcycle. "Old Chen, where are we going to have breakfast?"
Chen Ze straddled the back of the motorcycle. "Let's go to Guangfu Restaurant. Today I'll take you to experience the charm of Cantonese morning tea."
Zhang Guoheng excitedly started the car and drove towards the Guangfu Grand Restaurant. A gentle breeze brushed his face, and Zhang Guoheng couldn't help but hum a little tune.
Upon arriving at the teahouse, they found it bustling with activity and filled with the aroma of various delicacies. They found an empty seat and sat down, where a waiter warmly presented them with the menu. Chen Ze skillfully ordered classic breakfast items such as shrimp dumplings, chicken feet, braised tripe in soy sauce, black pepper pork intestines, and stone olive hot pot, along with a pot of Tieguanyin tea.
Before long, the snacks were served. Zhang Guoheng couldn't wait to pick up a shrimp dumpling and put it in his mouth. His eyes lit up immediately. "Old Chen, these shrimp dumplings are amazing! The shrimp meat is plump and bouncy."
"If it's delicious, eat more. This grand restaurant was just opened by my brother Chen Hao."
Zhang Guoheng saw the large casserole dish in the middle of the table, which contained a pile of grass, and asked in confusion, "Old Chen, why are you ordering grass for breakfast? I'm a human, not a cow, and you're giving me a bunch of grass to eat."
