In January 2024, the Supreme People's Procuratorate announced that the National Supervisory Commission had concluded its investigation into the case of Cai Hanwen, former Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Haizhou Provincial People's Congress, suspected of bribery, and the case was transferred to the procuratorate for review and prosecution. The Supreme People's Procuratorate issued an arrest warrant for Cai Hanwen on suspicion of bribery.
