Chapter 211 Two Dogs Advance to Level Four

Two dogs, one black and one yellow, simultaneously swallowed the level-four crystal cores and continued fighting, scaring the surrounding animals away in panic.

As time went on, all three level-four mutated animals were killed.

The mutated animals saw that their leaders were all dead, and two new level-four mutated creatures had risen to power, but they were not on the same side as them.

The mutated animals began to feel a strong threat, and they fled in panic, their sharp roars gradually fading into the distance.

As the mutated animals receded into the distance, the Lord saw two dogs that had successfully advanced to level four, measuring 26 meters in length and 12 meters in height, their overall strength having increased several times over.

He said happily, "Five Blacks, Daylily, you've leveled up again. Keep up the good work!"

Five Black has leveled up to mid-level 4, and Daylily has leveled up to early-level 4. Those two are really impressive.

"Haha! It's great that the two guys have leveled up! Not only have they become stronger, but they've also grown much bigger."

"They're so big now, even if they're just standing there, I can't climb up them," Wan'er said happily.

The stronger the dog becomes, the happier she, as its owner, is.

"Awoo awoo awoo~"

"Woof woof woof woof~"

The two dogs wagged their tails happily in response to their owner's praise.

There are many mutated animal crystal cores around here. You two put Yuechi and Yueying down and go find some crystal cores to eat. Once you're full, go rest outside the base! We'll be here for the next few days.

"Awoo~"

"Woof woof woof~"

The two dogs responded, used their tails to put Yue Chi and Yue Ying off their backs, and quickly ran to the pile of mutated corpses to dig out crystal cores to eat.

Junjue, carrying a basket, led Wan'er to the ruins. Seeing the refugees who were bitten and mangled, missing limbs, he quickly went to get help from the doctor.

When Yuechi and Yueying saw this, they also squatted down and went to help.

The soldiers' tension was briefly relieved, and through the smoke of battle, they glimpsed a glimmer of hope.

"That's great! I didn't expect those two mutated dogs and their owner to be so powerful that they actually defeated the leader of the mutated animals."

"Yes! If it weren't for them, none of our people at the base would have survived this morning."

"Today was really tiring, but through today's ordeal, I realized just how vulnerable our base's defenses are."

The stench of the corpse filled the air, and everyone fell silent.

This was a devastating battle, both brutal and merciless.

If it weren't for the mutated animals that came to their rescue tonight, taking the enemy's head amidst the chaos of battle, they wouldn't have been able to cease hostilities so quickly.

People supported each other, looking back on their deceased loved ones. The victory in the battle came at an extremely high price, a loss that could never be made up for.

As night fell, countless plumes of smoke and black haze blanketed the battlefield.

"We need to strengthen the shelter's defenses immediately; these attacks will continue," an officer said gravely, his eyes filled with determination.

“Those behemoths will not give up easily. Once their new leader appears, they will definitely come back.”

The officer wanted to thank the rescuers, but when he got there, the person behind the mutated dogs had disappeared. He could only helplessly salute the two dogs and say:

"Thank you for your help. On behalf of everyone at the official shelter, I express my sincere gratitude."

"Awoo~"

"Woof woof woof~"

Seeing that the person was harmless, Wu Hei Huanghuacai gave a casual reply and left.

After cleaning up the battlefield, the soldiers reorganized their gear and prepared to begin gathering personnel tomorrow to repair the protective walls and reinforce the safety measures of the shelter.

Everyone understands that this is only a temporary victory, and a new battle could break out at any time.

In the shelter at night, apart from the extinguished firelight and intermittent wails, there was no other sound.

People waited with lingering fear for dawn, for the safety of taking refuge in the shelters.

Finally, all the mutated animals fled. They retreated back to their original territory, leaving behind ruins and endless sorrow.

The people in the shelter breathed a sigh of relief; they had survived, though the fierce battle had left them in great pain.

This is their struggle against the harsh environment, their perseverance in the face of life.

The short soldier felt a sense of relief as he watched the battle end.

This battle was just a small episode in their escape from the harsh reality, but they did not give up hope and were determined to keep going.

The unknown road ahead they face is full of challenges and risks, but they know that only by persevering can they achieve true survival and freedom.

In this base overrun by hordes of mutated animals, every day is a challenge to survive.

Not only the official shelters in Yong'an City, but all the surrounding shelters were affected.

A group of survivors barely made it through the attack of a colossal creature. Some were missing limbs, others were still shaken, for their companions and loved ones had perished in the creature's jaws.

When the behemoth was driven back by soldiers and a mysterious force, the survivors were overwhelmed with emotion.

Some wept bitterly, some were consumed by rage, and many more gazed silently into the distance, their hearts filled with endless sorrow and despair.

"Why do we have to endure such pain?" a young girl asked, choking back tears. She had lost her loved ones and was unable to walk due to a broken leg.

"Perhaps this is fate. We can only try to live on, for those who have already left," an old man said with difficulty, one of his arms having been bitten off by the enormous creature.
