Chapter 237 The Fall of the Glorious Base

A few minutes later, that person also turned into a zombie and joined the hunt for humans.

The hoarse screams continued to rise, as if twisting into a hideous demonic sound at the end of the world.

Driven by their bloodlust, the zombies went mad, vying to bite into every piece of human flesh that still retained some warmth. Their eyes were empty and cold, as if they had lost all human emotions they once possessed.

Wan'er was shocked by the extent of the zombie infection; in such a short time, this place had become a living hell.

"Help!" An elderly man who had fallen cried out in despair, looking at the bloody wound on his foot.

Shangguan Wan'er thought of her half-zombie body, so she walked up to the old man.

Upon seeing the other person's face, the old man cried out in terror:

He was somewhat displeased; this rude interruption made him impatient.

However, the panicked expressions on his subordinates' faces made Dr. Wang somewhat alert; he sensed that something was amiss.

He scrutinized his subordinate with a probing gaze and asked in a cold voice, "What's wrong? What happened?"

The subordinate gasped, unable to suppress his panic, and shouted:

"Dr. Wang, something terrible has happened! Our base has been invaded by mutated zombies! Now everyone is infected!" he said, a sense of extreme tension filling the room.
