Chapter 239 The Fall of the MD Base

Shangguan Wan'er saw that in just over half an hour, the entire Brilliant Base had fallen.

She arrived at the base's warehouse and saw a huge warehouse of over a thousand square meters, filled with boxes of instant noodles, canned meat, self-heating meals, self-heating hot pots, ham, canned fruit, pickled vegetables, tissues, sanitary napkins, chili sauce, clothing, medicine, quilts, shoes, and other supplies. A slight smile appeared on her lips.

"The extreme heat is starting to arrive, and staying here would be a waste, so I won't stand on ceremony."

She spread her arms and placed them on the boxes of supplies on either side, and the rows of supplies slowly disappeared.

After collecting the supplies covering over a thousand square meters, about half an hour had passed.

"As expected of the Glorious Base, the variety of supplies is truly impressive!"

She adjusted her ashen face to look normal, put on a set of short-sleeved shirts, touched her pockmarked face, and then took out a mask, sun protection clothing, and sun protection hat, wrapping herself up tightly.

Damn it, thank goodness I awakened my ice-type ability, otherwise I would have died from the heat in this 40 or 50 degree weather.

I heard from Junjue that the extremely hot temperature will rise to 60 or 70 degrees Celsius in a while, and even reach 70 or 80 degrees Celsius!

She needed to hurry up and get revenge, then find a cool, dark place to hide. It was getting hotter and hotter, and she didn't want to wander around outside.

Now that the space has many supplies, and realizing that there are no beds in the space, I had to run to the room full of bloodstains and pick out several nice beds, tables, stools, chairs and other things.

Seeing a nice little pickup truck not far away, she wiped the fine sweat from her forehead, walked over, and found that the car keys were still there, and a zombie was sitting inside.

The menacing zombies stopped attacking after smelling the scent of their own kind.

Shangguan Wan'er opened the door and pulled the zombie down. She tried to put the zombie into her spatial storage with her mind, but she found that she couldn't. She could only throw it behind the pickup truck.

He then loaded a dozen or so intact zombies onto the pickup truck and drove towards Taipei.

With a slight smile, he looked excitedly in the direction of Taipei and said:

"MD base, are you ready for my revenge?"

My sister went to deliver gifts to us, you just wait.

The moment she left, several places in the shadows of the base flashed red lights, recording everything.

...

That night, Xiao Jie, the goalkeeper at the MD base, was on night shift when he unknowingly fell asleep.

Suddenly, a piercing car noise broke the silence of the night, waking him up.

He stood up groggily, only to find a dozen or so grotesque, gray-faced zombies charging toward them from a distance.

"Hiss~~Hiss~~Roar..." The hissing of the zombies reached Xiao Jie's ears, waking him up.

He had just opened his eyes when a grotesque zombie opened its mouth wide, ready to bite the neck of the captain next to him.

"Captain, watch out!"

At that critical moment, the captain nimbly dodged the zombie's attack and pointed a pistol at the zombie's head. With a "bang," cold black blood splattered onto Jack's face.

Xiao Jie was so frightened that he stammered, "Ahhh! What... what is this terrifying thing?"

Another duty officer was so frightened that he was jolted awake from his nap. Seeing the bloody scene before him, he trembled and said:

"Aaaaaah...that's a zombie! If you get bitten or scratched, you'll get infected! Everyone run!"

Xiao Jie and several other guards quickly fled the scene, but just as they were about to close the gate, several of their teammates were bitten on the hand, letting out screams.

"Ahhh... my hand."

"Oh no, I got scratched. Am I going to get an infection?"

"I don't want to be that disgusting, monstrous thing."

The teammates who were bitten and scratched quickly joined the zombie army, and as the number of zombies increased, the situation became increasingly tense.

The others saw their captain turn into a zombie and fought desperately against the zombies, but they were unable to escape from the base.

"Bang bang bang..."

"Oh no, I'm out of bullets."

"ah!"

"Aaaaaah... my neck!"

"Ah... I'm injured too."

Screams echoed as the gatekeepers, now all zombies, turned and, smelling the blood of humans inside the base, frantically rushed inside.

As time went on, the number of people in the base decreased while the number of zombies increased, and their living space became increasingly cramped.

Xiao Jie and his three only teammates finally found an escape route after much effort, but during their escape, they were slaughtered by zombies one by one.

Alone, Jay finally escaped to the outside of the base, only to find it teeming with zombies, covered in blood, and devastated.

He finally realized that this zombie attack was not a simple accident, but a biohazard.

As the last survivor, he will continue to fight against the zombies, searching for new hope and life in order to survive.

"I'll fight you to the death."

"Da da da da da..."

The last machine gun bullet was used up, and dozens of zombies surrounded him.

"Aaaaaah!"

Feeling the pain of the zombies gnawing at his flesh, Xiao Jie screamed in agony, but his voice was eventually drowned out by the horde of zombies.

After taking down the goalkeeper, the entire zombie army stormed into the MD base. Smelling the fresh blood, they were only interested in unleashing a bloodbath.

At night, screams and terrifying sounds echoed from the MD base.

The employees huddled together in fear, unsure how to cope with the crisis.

The viral infection occurs in a way that twists and deforms people. These creatures are clearly not human; they look more like monsters that crawled out of hell.

The stench of death filled the air, and the entire base had become a living hell.

"When did these ghostly things appear? Why did we only discover them now?"

"Bang bang bang!"

"The zombies are coming in! We have to get out of here right now!" an employee shouted.

“But the door is sealed shut! We can’t escape!” another employee replied.

Then, a large horde of zombies began to attack them. Windows were smashed, and steel doors were pounded on. They attacked relentlessly, emitting hoarse roars.

"There's nowhere safe here anymore!" an employee exclaimed.

“We must find weapons and fight back against the enemy!” another employee shouted.

So the employees began searching the entire base for weapons.

They broke into the storeroom and found guns and ammunition.

However, the weapons they acquired did not bring them any greater sense of security. Zombies could appear anywhere.

In this life-or-death struggle, the employees began to rely on and support each other. They tried to prolong their lives until the very last moment.

“We can’t let them come over! If we get scratched, we’ll turn into those things too.”

"I just saw it. There were several bitten people outside who turned into zombies within minutes." An employee swung his hammer forcefully.
