Chapter 35: Two Years' Worth of Supplies at the Mountain Top Refuge

People are searching for supplies everywhere in order to survive. Today, the five brothers, Junjue, Dizhantian, Dongfang Ao, Suye, and Yeyuan, are each piloting a plane, bringing people from the capital to the city, hoping to find some valuable items.

Two and a half hours later, the Duke and his brothers landed near a large corrosive factory in Shanghai.

As soon as they got off the plane, four or five hundred people from Shanghai left. Junjue glanced at the two girls who had left Su Ye's plane, sighed, and said to the two thousand people who remained:

"All those searching for supplies, please return here at 4 PM. Latecomers will not be waited for. After 7 PM, there will be several months of continuous strong winds and torrential rain, making it difficult for planes to fly back to the capital."

Those who remained were selected; they were physically strong and experienced in adventure. The Lord believed they were capable of finding even more items.

Junjue has made his decision. This time, he will go back and leave enough food for his four good brothers' families for a year. Then he will come back to Shanghai to collect supplies and look for that girl.

If he still couldn't find the person after a year, he would go back and provide his brothers with an extra year's worth of food until they found the person.

So the lord and his brothers led them to split up and explore the abandoned city.

The Duke stood in an abandoned square, looking at everyone's anxious expressions, feeling somewhat uneasy.

He cleared his throat and shouted to everyone, "Don't worry, everyone. As long as we get back here at 4 p.m. and return no later than 7 p.m., we won't encounter any storms or heavy rain."

The plane will be able to take you back to the shelter soon, so we must find enough supplies as quickly as possible.

After hearing the Duke's words, everyone nodded in agreement. They knew that time was of the essence, and only by finding enough supplies as soon as possible could they ensure their safety.

The four brothers split up, directing the search party in all directions. Dongfang Ao stepped into a dilapidated car, the driver's seat obscured by a broken window. He adjusted the seat, gripped the steering wheel, and began his search with a mixture of anticipation and unease.

Ye Yuan chose to walk, preferring to explore unfamiliar cities on foot. He traversed narrow alleys, passing through every corner, leaving no place untouched by the possibility of supplies.

His eyes were sharp as he vigilantly scanned his surroundings, ready to deal with any potential dangers.

Di Zhantian chose to climb a tall building to overlook the entire city. Standing on the rooftop, he felt the howling wind, gazing into the distance, searching for any clues that might lead to supplies. His eyes fell on an abandoned warehouse, and a glimmer of hope rose in his heart.

The Duke remained in the square, overseeing logistics and ensuring the orderly progress of the troops. As he watched the column slowly depart, he focused his attention on the remaining two thousand men. He knew these two thousand were the backbone of the entire force; they must unite and help each other to find sufficient supplies.

Dongfang Ao and Su Ye led a group of people into an abandoned supermarket, hoping to find some food and water.

After searching, they found some canned goods and bottled water, which were their valuable find. They happily carried them back to the aircraft hangar and continued searching for other supplies.

After a while, the Duke saw a young man walk out of the group alone. He looked anxious and walked hurriedly. The Duke immediately went up to him and asked with concern, "What's wrong? Did you find any clues?"

The young man, panting, said, "Captain Jun, we've discovered many warehouses belonging to the corroded factory. It looks like there might be a lot of supplies inside."

Junjue frowned. He knew time was of the essence, but the opportunity couldn't be missed. He immediately ordered, "Take me to see! We must determine as soon as possible whether there are any usable supplies inside."

The two arrived at various abandoned food factories, pharmaceutical factories, and warehouses. The warehouse doors were corroded and broken by acid rain, and there were no footprints on the ground, indicating that no one had gone in for a long time after the acid rain.

Junjue pushed open the door and was met with darkness, with only a faint warm light shining in through the broken window.

Junjue entered the warehouse and searched around. Soon, he found that the closed warehouses of the league were full of items, all with fresh dates, including compressed biscuits, instant noodles, self-heating rice, self-heating hot pot, bottled water, various canned fruits, canned meats, medicines, tools, and so on.

The Duke's eyes gleamed; there were just too many supplies here!

This whole area is full of factories!

He knew that these supplies would be enough to support the refugees through many difficult years.

The acid rain has just passed, and many people are afraid to go out from their homes, which is why this group of people benefited.

He excitedly returned to the square and loudly announced to the remaining thousand people:

"We've found a lot of supplies! Now everyone has to do their best to move these supplies back, and then prepare for the coming storm! We will definitely get through this!"

Upon hearing the Lord's words, the thousand people were invigorated. They channeled their anxiety and unease into strength, quickly organizing themselves and beginning to move supplies. Everyone did their best, and no one wanted to disappoint the Lord's expectations.

"Great! We found supplies after only two or three hours of driving. Shanghai truly lives up to its reputation as a top-tier city!"

"With so much food, we could definitely eat for more than just a few months, we could eat for years!"

"Anyway, the world is getting more and more chaotic now. As long as there's food, I don't care about anything else."
