Chapter 362 Finally, I can hold her and let her fall asleep.

Shangguan Wan'er was gently placed on the bed by Junjue, her heart filled with anticipation and unease.

She was finally reunited with the man she loved. After five years of separation, they had both grown a lot, but their love for each other remained unchanged.

Feeling Junjue snuggle into the covers, he gently pulled her into his warm embrace.

The familiar embrace and unfamiliar surroundings made her a little nervous, and her heartbeat quickened.

She could hear her own heart beating, as if telling her that it was all real.

The two lay quietly on the bed, gazing into each other's eyes.

When the Duke looked at the disfigured Wan'er, there was no disgust in his eyes, but rather he felt even more distressed.

He reached out his long, slender, fair hand and gently stroked the other person's half-disfigured cheek, his eyes revealing deep love.

Shangguan Wan'er felt the other person gently touching her pockmarked face.

She was deeply attracted by his profound gaze.

She wondered in disbelief if it was all an illusion.

"I feel like I'm dreaming."

Facing Junjue's gentle gaze, Shangguan Wan'er felt her cheeks slightly flush.

She lowered her head shyly, not daring to look him in the eye.

Junjue smiled gently, stroked her short hair softly, and said softly, "Wan'er, you're not dreaming. It's been so long, I really missed you."

Upon hearing this, Shangguan Wan'er immediately relaxed.

She looked up, blushing and smiling, and said, "Am I ugly? Will I be scared when I wake up at night?"

"My baby isn't ugly at all! How could I possibly be scared?"

"And your boyfriend is incredibly brave. If you don't believe me, try scaring me while I'm asleep and see if you scare me!" Junjue said, somewhat annoyed.

He's not afraid of anything except her not being by his side, something he can't even beg for! How could he possibly be scared?

"Really?" Was his face not terrifying enough? Or did the Duke have some kind of shameful fetish?

"real!"

They lay quietly on the bed, close to each other.

Shangguan Wan'er could feel that Junjue's heartbeat was in sync with her own. She asked with some confusion, "Junjue, your heart is beating so fast."

Junjue smiled gently, hugged her tightly, and whispered, "Baby, it's all because of you. Every time I see you, my heart races."

because I love you."

Shangguan Wan'er's eyes gradually welled up with tears. She raised her head again and gazed into Junjue's eyes: "Junjue, I have always loved you too. Over the years, I have wanted to return to your side, but I was afraid that my grotesque appearance would scare you."

"Silly girl, no matter what you become, I won't be scared, and I will never despise you!" Junjue said with heartache.

Their voices became faint, but they could both clearly hear each other's heartbeats.

This is a fusion of emotions, a confirmation that needs no words.

"Really?"

"real!"

Junjue slowly lowered his head and gently kissed Shangguan Wan'er's lips.

Their lips and tongues intertwined, and their heartbeats grew even more intense with each passionate kiss.

Shangguan Wan'er's heart was pounding so hard it felt like it was about to burst out of her chest, and her body trembled slightly.

After the kiss ended, Junjue gently stroked Shangguan Wan'er's pockmarked and distorted cheeks and smiled, "You're still so shy, you haven't changed in five years."

Shangguan Wan'er blushed and whispered, "I only feel shy in front of you! Even when you do things that make me feel so embarrassed."

Junjue smiled gently and held Shangguan Wan'er, whom he had lost and then regained, tightly in his arms.

They lay quietly in bed, listening to each other's heartbeats; this was the most relaxing moment for them.

Shangguan Wan'er's voice trembled slightly: "Junjue, I really can't believe we can still lie in the same bed..."

Junjue held her tightly and gently kissed her forehead: "Wan'er, me too."

I'm so afraid I'll never see you again.

The two nestled together, talking shyly, a testament to the sweetness and warmth deep within their hearts.

They knew that their five-year wait had finally paid off; their love for each other had never changed, but had only become more real and profound.

Junjue and Wan'er lay in bed and chatted for a long time without realizing it.

Through these conversations, Junjue felt he understood Wan'er's thoughts more and more.

As night fell, a harmonious and happy atmosphere filled the bright and luxurious room.

Wan'er lay quietly on the bed, sleeping soundly with her eyes closed. Her left cheek was pitted and twisted, each scar resembling a deep scratch, sending chills down one's spine.

The crisscrossing scars on her right cheek form a horrifying pattern, a cruel reminder of the pain she once suffered.

As Junjue looked at Wan'er's face, tears silently streamed down his face.

Even so, Junjue did not find Wan'er ugly. On the contrary, he felt extremely guilty. Looking at her terrifying face, he could not forgive himself.

She was the person he loved with his life! Five years ago, because of his carelessness, Wan'er was kidnapped by others.

Junjue made every effort and finally found her after five years. He would never let her be alone again.

Wan'er habitually turned over and fell asleep next to Junjue.

Her breathing was steady and peaceful, like that of an innocent child.

Junjue looked at the other's sleeping face with heartache and said to himself, "Wan'er, although you look different now, you will always be the most beautiful person in my heart."

Junjue could not imagine the torment and suffering Wan'er endured over those five years.
