The group of people were overjoyed and chattered amongst themselves.
The Duke looked at the thick, pungent stench of sulfur that permeated the ground, and the air was filled with a suffocating atmosphere.
The underground pit was enormous, stretching out like a series of terrifying black holes.
He said to his group of happy teammates, "Let's hurry back! Otherwise, the alien beasts from other deep pits will come again."
"The captain is right. The next wave of meteorites will land in a few days. We need to get back ahead of time." Su Ye looked at the deep pit and felt a chill run down his spine.
"Yes, we should hurry back! If the time we perceive is off, arriving prematurely will be disastrous," Ye Yuan speculated, his eyes flashing with unease.
Seeing the ground piled with the corpses of alien beasts, Junjue said to the group, "There's too much corrosive liquid here. Let's go over there and get a car to go back."
"Sizzle sizzle~" White smoke billowed from the soles of the shoes. The enhanced shoes could resist being devoured, while ordinary shoes would have been reduced to ashes.
The group carefully walked out from beside the deep pit, where it was pitch black all around.
Fortunately, evolved superhumans can see in the dark; otherwise, in this gloomy weather, it would be like being in complete darkness.
"Be careful, there's the aura of an alien beast!" Junjue suddenly warned everyone, his eyes flashing with vigilance.
In an instant, a huge alien beast burst out of the darkness, its retractable mandibles lunging at Di Zhantian.
Di Zhantian reacted quickly and hurriedly raised his weapon to defend himself.
"Crack!" The weapon instantly broke into two pieces.
When the opponent's seven or eight mandibles attacked the group of people like an octopus.
The other teammates immediately launched a counterattack, with flashes of fire and explosions filling the air. They ruthlessly and decisively defeated the alien beast.
"This thing is huge! How many times has it evolved? So many retractable mouthparts that can attack people."
"Hurry, it's not safe here!" Junjue keenly sensed that there were many more such alien beasts not far away, and quickly shouted this before leading everyone to continue charging forward.
More and more twisted, crawling aliens appeared behind them. The teammates, who were walking and observing their surroundings, frowned. They were all terrified by the sight of the ruins.
"This place was once a prosperous city for humans, but now it has been taken over by alien beasts," Shangguan Wan'er hissed, her eyes filled with sadness and anger.
"We must eradicate these alien beasts and restore peace to Earth!" Yue Ying declared with great enthusiasm and confidence.
The group continued their journey, constantly battling the alien beasts. They sacrificed their lives to create safe havens and upheld their belief in human civilization.
"There are signs of human activity here!" Yue Chi suddenly noticed some exposed personal belongings, and his eyes lit up with joy.
The group rushed over and found a destroyed shelter. The walls inside were incomplete, clearly indicating that it had suffered a severe attack.
"Look, this is a photo." Shangguan Wan'er picked up the photo from the ground and saw a happy family in it, and couldn't help but shed tears.
"We will definitely lead more people here to rebuild Blue Star!" Di Zhantian waved his weapon, full of ambition.
Shangguan Wan'er, Di Zhantian, Dongfang Ao, Su Ye, Ye Yuan, Yue Ying, Yue Chi, Chen Fan and others listened to the dense sounds in the distance, their hearts filled with shock and unease.
They looked back and witnessed the alien beasts crawling rapidly towards them in hordes, their eyes gleaming with bloodlust, as if they wanted to devour them, the humans.
"What's going on? How come there are so many evolved alien beasts?" Shangguan Wan'er asked in horror, her voice trembling.
"This is absolutely terrifying! They're growing way too fast!" Di Zhantian exclaimed in astonishment, his voice filled with helplessness and fear.
"Looking at this ruin, and at those disgusting things behind me, I actually felt the breath of death," Dongfang Ao cursed in a low voice, his eyes filled with sorrow and heaviness.
Su Ye silently closed his eyes, his heart filled with hesitation and pain.
Ye Yuan clenched his fists, his lips pressed tightly together, and his eyes gleamed with determination and resolve.
Yue Ying and Yue Chi exchanged a glance, their expressions revealing unspoken emotions. Chen Fan, on the other hand, clenched his teeth in resentment, his eyes flashing with anger and hatred.
For a moment, the teammates' conversation was filled with sadness and helplessness.
"We've been on Earth for so many years, and we've never seen anything like this before."
"Destruction that humanity could not cause even in another hundred years."
"Our efforts are far from enough; the fate of Earth hangs in the balance!"
"We must withstand the invasion of the alien beasts and protect humanity on Earth."
"No matter the cost, we cannot let these monsters succeed!"
The teammates' words revealed their determination and hope. Despite facing incredibly powerful alien beasts, they were determined to overcome their fear and save Earth.
The aliens relentlessly pursued them, and the team members sped up and ran a distance, surveying the surrounding ruins with fierce fighting spirit in their eyes.
"Since we can't escape, let's start cleaning up the scene!" Junjue said in a low voice, his voice revealing determination and fearlessness.
"The enemy is very close, we must launch an attack as soon as possible!" Shangguan Wan'er gripped her weapon tightly, her eyes flashing with decisiveness and resolve.
"Roar roar roar~"
