Suppressing the nausea surging within him, he said with a heavy heart, "Yes! We bombed so many alien nests, but we only saw the tip of the iceberg."
It would be incredibly difficult to wipe them all out.
They knew that although there were still unknown difficulties and challenges, they had taken the first step.
"System, once we leave the abandoned planet, drop as many energy nuclear bombs as possible onto it. As long as they don't affect the Western Yue region, flatten their nests for me."
[Understood! However, fifty percent of aliens can burrow underground, so even nuclear weapons can't eliminate them.]
"It's alright, we can eliminate one at a time," the Duke muttered to himself.
He glanced at his haggard girlfriend and touched her hair.
"Honey! You've worked so hard these past few days. Let's go home and get some rest," Junjue said with heartache.
He realized that the alien beasts' food reserves wouldn't last long, and they would attack humans again after a while.
They need to strengthen the base's defenses as soon as possible, before the energy mother tree's protective shield disappears.
Wan'er felt warm inside as she sensed Junjue's care.
"It's not hard work. I feel it's all worth it to be able to do something meaningful for human civilization!"
"Let's go! I'm taking my baby home!" After Junjue finished speaking, a series of explosions echoed for thousands of kilometers around, and the screams of various aliens were deafening.
Without any pity, the two men used their space-travel skills to leave the abandoned planet's nest and fly towards the Fire Seed Base with Wan'er.
In half a day, Junjue and Wan'er flew countless kilometers, traversing time and space, and finally returned to Dongyue Province.
Standing on the land of Guangdong Province, Junjue felt a familiar presence, but the scene before him made his heart pound.
Underground, the area was teeming with all sorts of disgusting alien beasts, emitting terrifying roars that sent chills down one's spine.
Junjue gently took Wan'er's hand and asked tenderly, "Wan'er, are you hungry? Would you like to eat something before going back?" His voice was full of concern and love.
Wan'er looked up at Junjue, her eyes filled with gratitude and affection. "Junjue, you are so kind."
Knowing that I couldn't eat at the alien nest, they brought me back here before asking me anything.
"I am indeed a little hungry." She bit her lip, the hunger pangs in her stomach beginning to spread.
“Alright! Let’s find a safe place to enjoy a rare and delicious meal,” Junjue suggested.
"Can!"
Junjue held Wan'er's hand and led her through the underground area filled with alien beasts until they found a relatively safe place.
He took out a backpack full of things, including various foods and drinks.
Wan'er smelled the aroma of the food and her mouth watered.
Her eyes widened, filled with anticipation.
Junjue smiled and unpacked his backpack, taking out various delicacies such as chocolate, bread, cake, pork trotter noodles, roast duck rice, fruit, and so on.
"Wow! Lunch is so delicious today! It's been so long since I've had such a feast," Wan'er said happily.
"Honey, eat more. You've had a tough time on that abandoned planet. The pungent, sour smell every day must have made you lose your appetite."
After Junjue finished speaking, he carefully prepared every dish for Wan'er. Watching her chew the food with satisfaction, his heart was filled with contentment and happiness.
After letting Wan'er choose what she liked to eat, Junjue ate pig's feet noodles next to her to keep her company.
The two ate and chatted, enjoying this rare moment of peace.
After a hearty lunch, Wan'er regained much of her strength. She looked at Junjue gratefully and said, "Junjue, thank you for your care and concern. I feel very safe with you by my side."
Junjue replied softly, "Wan'er, you are the most important person to me, and I will always protect you. No matter what, I will do my best to make sure you live a happy and peaceful life."
Wan'er held Junjue's hand tightly, her eyes filled with tears. "Junjue, I'm so lucky to have met you." Her voice trembled slightly, because she knew all too well that without Junjue, she would have long since become food for mutated creatures.
Junjue gently stroked Wan'er's hair, his eyes filled with tenderness. "Wan'er, no matter what happens, I will stay by your side and never leave you." His voice revealed firmness and promise.
Their conversation was gradually drowned out by the roars of the alien beasts, but the tacit understanding between them grew stronger.
After the two finished eating, Wan'er glanced at the exquisite handcuffs in her hands and said with a helpless expression:
"When are you going to take these handcuffs off? Doesn't it feel strange?"
"I don't understand. I can't bear to see you out of my sight, I can't bear to see you get hurt again, and I can't bear to see you leave me."
"Fifty meters is the distance I can tolerate you from. Besides, I've been wearing handcuffs for so long, I'm already used to it." Junjue refused firmly.
Seeing that Junjue refused so readily, Wan'er said helplessly, "Well... fine! Whatever makes you happy!"
Should we go back? It doesn't look safe out here at all.
"Okay!" Just as Junjue was about to leave with Wan'er, he suddenly received a system notification.
[Detected an underground base 100 kilometers ahead, containing a new type of alien nest with human presence.]
The situation inside is not optimistic; please prepare yourself mentally.
"clear!"
No matter how pessimistic we are, is there anything worse than that nest where 100,000 compatriots died?
One hundred kilometers ahead? Isn't that the border between Guangdong Province and Western Guangdong Province?
