The surrounding survivors gathered around, excitedly discussing the matter.
"We've finally returned with those powerful beings!" one of the survivors shouted excitedly.
"Thank God, we finally survived!" another survivor exclaimed with deep emotion.
"It's an incredible miracle that we're still alive!"
Junjue and Wan'er were surrounded by people, who were filled with gratitude and respect for them.
They became heroes in this hopeful base, establishing a noble image in everyone's hearts.
"Everyone, this is the Fire Seed Base. Welcome home!"
I am Junjue, and she is Shangguan Wan'er. We are the base managers of the Fire Seed Base and the captains of the Hope Team.
If you encounter any problems in the future, feel free to contact us or the members of the Hope Team to resolve them.
"I hope that in the days to come, we can overcome the difficulties together and eliminate the alien beasts together," the Duke announced loudly.
"Let us unite from now on, eliminate the alien beasts, and protect the last spark of human civilization," Shangguan Wan'er echoed.
"Two base commanders, you are our saviors!" Upon hearing the words of the two base commanders, a girl walked over with red eyes, tightly grasped Junjue's hand, and tears streamed down her face.
Junjue patted her shoulder gently and comforted her, "Don't cry, it's what we should do to bring you back."
Now, we need to establish a safer base, and let's continue our efforts to protect everyone.
Wan'er walked over to another survivor and asked, "Is anyone injured? Do you need medical assistance?"
A man looked up at Wan'er with gratitude and said, "Thank you, base commander. Your courage and wisdom saved us all."
"Without you, we would surely die. Thank you so much."
"Now, we can finally rest easy."
"Before we met the two base commanders, we lived in dire straits every day. We hadn't had a good night's sleep in a long time, and we hadn't had a decent meal in a long time."
After meeting them, we slept well, ate well, and were warmly clothed in that mysterious place—things we never even dared to dream of before.
"Yes! I live in fear every day. I don't even dare to close my eyes when I sleep, for fear that a group of alien beasts will suddenly appear next to me."
"Don't worry, everyone. We are safe for now. After you return to the base, please rest for a while and take care of yourselves."
You can rest assured about food and accommodation; as long as you are a newcomer, you can receive them for free for the first month.
A month later, you can grow vegetables and raise poultry at the base, and you can earn corresponding points.
"All seeds and livestock calves will be distributed free of charge twice at our base," Wan'er said with a smile.
"A month's worth of freebies! I'm so grateful to the base commander."
"The land is completely polluted, yet things can be grown and poultry raised here. It's incredible and wonderful."
"Ignoring the explosions from distant battles, it feels like we've returned to a peaceful and prosperous era."
"And everyone here seems to have superpowers! Everyone, from the oldest to the youngest, has superpowers!"
"This base is really amazing! Where did they all get their superpowers? Why do so many people have superpowers?"
"I wish we had superpowers too."
"Can we really grow things? What if aliens invade in the future?"
"Yes! This place looks very sturdy, but those aliens are truly omnipotent."
"Those ghostly things are everywhere—in the sky, on the ground, underground, and in the water. They're practically everywhere!"
When Junjue heard everyone's concerns, he felt very uncertain.
Those disgusting aliens are indeed everywhere—in the sky, on the ground, underground, and in the water.
Once the protective shield of the Mother Tree disappears, he doesn't know if his base will be able to withstand the overwhelming number of aliens.
The thought that he had a space that could hold living people suddenly made him feel a little relieved.
If the base really falls, we can just take everyone into space and protect the spark of human civilization first.
"Don't worry, everyone. Just rest well during this time. If this base really falls, I will take you to that mysterious place."
"Then we will find a place where everyone can settle down and make a living," the Duke assured him.
Upon witnessing this scene, the 30,000 to 40,000 survivors excitedly chatted among themselves.
They talked about the base chief's mysterious space and how the heroic rescuers had saved their lives.
They recalled with gratitude the heroic deeds of the Lord and Wan'er in battle.
Seeing the group of survivors discussing, Junjue and Wan'er had more plans in mind.
Although they have now returned to the base, Junjue and Wan'er know that the battle is not over.
The threat of aliens remains, and they need to continue protecting the base and the survivors inside.
The Duke gazed at the scene before him, understanding that this was the result of their long and arduous struggle.
He tasted the sweetness of victory, but he also knew that it was only a temporary one.
The base gates slowly closed, and Junjue and Wan'er returned to their posts.
They knew their battle was far from over. They had to continue fighting the alien beasts and protecting the base and the survivors inside.
"I'm finally back. I haven't had a good night's sleep in ages."
"You're not allowed to bother me tonight, or I'll get angry," Shangguan Wan'er warned through gritted teeth.
"Alright, alright! My Wan'er has worked hard for months. I'll let you rest for a few days, and then you can slowly enjoy your delicious food," Junjue promised with a smile.
