He activated the electronic screen's aerial flight mode, and sturdy wings rapidly extended from the roof of the vehicle, spinning quickly.
Please state your destination on the map.
"Not bad! It even has a voice control mode!"
After glancing at the map on the screen, the Duke said coldly:
"To the department store in downtown D!"
"Received, initiating, arriving in fifteen minutes. Flight speed is too high, please hold on tight!"
With a whoosh, the car sped up and raced through the snowy sky, offering a panoramic view of the surrounding scenery on the large screen.
Lord Jun drove the fully automated armored vehicle, doing nothing, as he traversed snow-capped mountains and forests to reach the nearest base.
"This thing is really awesome. Not only does it have heating, but it also has weapons, voice control, autopilot, and even a function to prevent frost from forming."
The futuristic armored vehicle that can fly at high speeds even at minus eighty degrees Celsius is truly amazing, a system reward.
There are probably many more features inside that I haven't discovered yet; I'll explore them slowly later!
As we crossed the snow-capped mountains, the snow became heavier and thicker.
The king gallops on horseback, his futuristic armored vehicle able to switch modes at any time via voice control, easily traversing snow and soaring through the air, ignoring all the difficulties of the world.
He experienced the thrill of adventure and the joy of challenge.
Finally, the Lord arrived at the nearest base.
In the communications, he remembered that the newly built Yong'an base in City D currently had 130,000 people, of whom 15,000 had frozen to death.
The base, located in the dilapidated city center, was completely covered in snow, a vast expanse of white.
The department store, which is more than 20 stories high, is already covered by more than 20% ice and snow. And this has only been half a month since the extreme cold began!
With snow that thick, people would be buried alive if they went outside, let alone zombies.
Fortunately, I had many trump cards up my sleeve, otherwise this mission would have been really difficult.
The Duke alighted from the vehicle, opened the weapons depot, and quickly prepared supplies and food to distribute to those in need.
The world is plunged into an unprecedented cold snap. The newly built Yong'an base in D City, which was originally a glimmer of hope that people had finally found, was shattered by the sudden arrival of the extreme cold. Everyone seemed so vulnerable in the bitter cold.
Extreme cold descended upon the entire desolate, post-apocalyptic world, leaving behind a scene of utter desolation.
The newly built Yong'an base, which can accommodate 130,000 people, is fraught with crisis.
The impoverished survivors in the base discussed the situation with gritted teeth, an atmosphere of despair enveloping everyone's hearts like an insurmountable abyss.
Everyone understands that in such frigid weather, without sufficient cold-weather gear and food, only the most resilient people can survive in this cruel post-apocalyptic environment.
The base housed 130,000 people, who, under the onslaught of the severe cold, became as weak as water blisters.
Regardless of day or night, the base's cold wind howled through the cracks in the windows.
A biting, icy wind blew by, and everyone shivered from the cold.
They were pale and thin, dressed in barely any clothes, and even when they were close together, the transfer of body heat could not keep out the biting cold.
Every now and then, the harsh winter could take everyone's life, turning them into ice sculptures.
Suddenly, several people collapsed in front of them, and a group of people said in pain.
"Several more people have frozen to death."
"What are we going to do! In just half a month, at least dozens of people have frozen to death every day."
"How long is this awful weather going to last?!"
Will they only stop when humanity is extinct?
In a corner of the base, a group of desperate survivors huddled together, seeking warmth from one another.
They whispered amongst themselves, each one trembling with gritted teeth and a look of utter despair on their faces.
"This extreme cold is terrifying. How can we survive?" a survivor muttered to himself.
“Yes, we are severely lacking in cold-weather gear and food. If this continues, we probably won’t be able to survive for another ten days or two weeks,” another survivor replied in silence.
Their eyes were filled with despair and helplessness. Perhaps they were not the only ones suffering such a fate in this apocalypse, but all they had now was each other's support.
Soon after, a huge commotion broke out within the base.
Everyone had diarrhea and was walking unsteadily.
An investigation revealed serious problems with food rationing.
People faint from time to time due to food containing toxins, and some even die as a result.
"What do we do? Thousands more people have died."
"The food we were given today is poisonous. We didn't eat much, will we be okay?"
“We can’t go on like this!” one survivor struggled to his feet. “We have to take action, or we’ll all starve to death here.”
All eyes were on him. Although no one said it aloud, everyone knew in their hearts that he was right.
The survivors gathered together to discuss how to cope.
Even in dire circumstances, they maintained their resilience in the face of adversity.
“We need to find food, or we will all starve to death,” an older woman suggested.
“Yes, we can’t just sit here and wait to die. Only by going out to search might we find a glimmer of hope,” a man echoed.
Another boy gritted his teeth and said, "We're going to either starve or freeze to death, so let's go out and see if we can find another way to survive!"
Seeing the impulsiveness of a group of young people, a middle-aged man shook his head and said:
"It's good that you think that way, but we don't have any cold-weather gear. If we go out, we'll turn into an ice sculpture in less than half an hour."
Think about it, all the supplies in this area were taken away during the extreme heat.
If you want supplies, you'll have to go to other cities, where it's -80 degrees Celsius! Who can get out of this place?
Upon hearing the middle-aged man's words, the group of people who had been excited just moments before deflated like eggplants after being chilled by frost.
They knew the middle-aged man was right; their clothes were very thin, and they would freeze to death shortly after going out.
Moreover, everything in the surrounding area has been collected, so it's impossible for them to find food.
"What can I do? Either way, I'm just waiting to die. It's like the heavens are going to kill me!"
Many people had their heads down, their eyes red and swollen, but they dared not shed a tear.
In this extremely cold weather, if they cry or get hurt, their eyes and bodies will quickly become frostbitten, and they can only endure the pain.
"Alas! This is the fate of the apocalypse! In this monstrous weather of minus eighty degrees Celsius, we have no warm clothing and food is even more scarce. Only those who are tough enough will survive to the end."
A group of people sighed and complained, but in the end they did not go out. In this terrible weather, they knew that if they went out they would not find food and would only die.
