"Little sister, you'll get used to it in a few days."
"Brother, watch out!" Yue Ying saw a zombie running from the side and quickly grabbed his machete to slash at it.
"Pfft~"
A knife slashed at the zombie's neck, but the zombie seemed to feel no pain. It bared its teeth and claws, half of the rotting flesh on its face was bitten off, and the black flesh was filled with small white maggots. Thumb-sized green flies swarmed around it.
Yue Ying felt nauseous at the sight and started to vomit again.
"Brother, these zombies are disgusting! You should do it..."
Before he could finish speaking, he ran to the side and started vomiting violently.
"Ugh... ugh..."
Seeing his sister in such distress, Yue Chi went over and delivered the final blow, instantly severing the zombie's head, which was still roaring inside.
"Pfft~" Another blow was delivered to the head, and black brain matter flew out, finally killing the opponent completely.
Looking at the other person's disgusting rotting flesh, with clumps of wriggling maggots inside, and smelling the stench of decay, Yue Chi almost couldn't help but vomit.
I quickly looked away, went to my sister's side, and continued to pat her back.
"Little sister, why don't you find a place to rest first, and I'll take care of killing the zombies."
"No... I can't even handle the early stages of zombies now, how am I supposed to face the upgraded zombies later?"
"Brother, I just can't accept it right now. I'll get used to it gradually," Yue Ying said, refusing.
His sister is really brave; even though she was vomiting like that, she didn't rest.
"Alright then! I'll protect you. Leave anything disgusting to me that you don't want to deal with."
"Okay, brother, I feel much better now, let's continue!"
So the two siblings continued practicing, trying to like those disgusting things.
The others weren't much better off. Apart from Jun Jue, who remained expressionless, Di Zhantian, Dongfang Ao, Su Ye, and Ye Yuan were all bulging with veins, desperately suppressing their nausea.
"Damn, this stuff is too addictive," Di Zhantian said, his face pale.
Hearing his brother's words, Dongfang Ao disgustedly chopped down a zombie covered in maggots.
Seeing the fallen zombie, with maggots falling off its body—even a few were on his Tang sword—he quickly shook the maggots off the blade and said uncomfortably:
"You bet it is! It would be fine if it were cold, but this is extremely hot! The fumes are making me want to throw up."
"This thing smells a hundred times worse than a cesspool, and it's more terrifying than all the culinary disasters out there. I've never smelled anything that awful," Su Ye complained as he frantically killed zombies.
"You'll get used to it eventually. It really smells awful, but it'll be part of our daily routine from now on."
Jue said that future upgrades to superpowers will require mutated animal crystal cores or zombie crystal cores.
"So we need to get used to it quickly so we can work hard to kill zombies every day." Ye Yuan said, his face pale and his breath held.
"I think it's acceptable. If it's something now, I can be completely unaffected," Junjue said expressionlessly.
After all, he had seen far more disgusting scenes in his previous life and was already used to them.
Upon hearing Jun Jue's words, Di Zhantian, Dongfang Ao, Su Ye, and Ye Yuan were stunned. Their faces paled, and they all spoke in unison:
"You're a real pervert."
So the four of them endured the disgusting zombies, struggling to absorb the stench and putrid smell that filled the air, and continued their efforts to kill zombies.
"Am I a freak? I don't think so." Junjue looked at his teammates who were still killing zombies and trying to get used to it, and said with a bewildered expression.
"Aaaaaah...!"
"Someone got bitten?" Dongfang Ao looked around and found that the captain was fine.
He found a zombie missing a leg in the ruins, devouring a survivor who had been crushed under the rubble.
"Help...me"
"I wanted to save you too, but you've been infected. Let me see you off on your final journey!"
"Thank you!" The survivor knew that being bitten would turn him into one of those disgusting zombies, so he closed his eyes in relief.
Without hesitation, Dongfang Ao raised his weapon and walked towards the zombie.
A sharp slash struck the zombie's neck, and black blood gushed out.
The zombie continued to struggle, and he struck it several times until he finally knocked it to the ground.
Seeing the survivor whose chest was mangled from being bitten, he ended the victim's suffering with a single stab as the victim began to convulse.
A flash of cold light, and the seven men swiftly dealt with the surrounding zombies.
Covered in the blood of zombies, they looked at the ruins around them, their hearts filled with sorrow and uncertainty about the future.
Yue Ying and Yue Chi were in a group when they encountered more than a dozen zombies. These zombies looked terrifying, their bodies covered in rotting muscles, and their fingernails became as sharp as blades as they rushed towards them.
"Level 2 zombies? Yue Ying and Yue Chi, you two go aside first. You can't handle these things."
"It's the captain!"
The two siblings didn't try to be brave; they quickly ran to the captain's side and dealt with the low-level zombies.
"Hey guys, these are for you to practice on! Their skills are probably a little worse than yours, but don't let your guard down."
"Alright!" The four of them replied eagerly, taking out their Tang swords.
Di Zhantian, Dongfang Ao, Su Ye, and Ye Yuan prepared to greet the dozen or so level-two zombies rushing towards them.
Di Zhantian glanced at his teammates around him, his eyes filled with unwavering encouragement:
"Brothers, get ready for battle! Let's kill these disgusting level two bastards together!"
The others nodded in agreement, gripping their weapons tightly with solemn and determined expressions.
