Chapter 24 Welcome to the Arrival of Calamity

The helicopter was tossed about by the powerful storm, and the Duke did his best to control the aircraft and keep it stable.

His heart pounded, and sweat beaded on his forehead. The thunder roared deafeningly, and lightning flashed before his eyes, as if trying to devour him.

Just when the Duke thought he would perish in the storm, he finally overcame the harsh weather and saw the outline of the apocalyptic fortress in the distance.

He breathed a sigh of relief, but at the same time felt a little panicked, because the mountain below was getting closer and closer, and he was not being blown away by the strong winds so that he could not get enough altitude to land.

The Duke swerved the helicopter, trying to avoid a collision with the mountain. He felt the wind behind him growing stronger, as if a giant beast was chasing him. The biting wind made his clothes flutter loudly.

The helicopter flew through a sky covered in dark clouds. Amidst flashes of lightning, he could see a massive, imposing fortress atop a distant mountain range, like a guardian standing high above. The Duke's heart pounded; he couldn't help but anticipate the surprise of returning to the fortress.

However, his good fortune was short-lived. As he flew closer to the fortress, a sudden gust of wind swept in. The helicopter was propelled out of control by the fierce airflow. The Duke gripped the control stick tightly, struggling to maintain his balance, but he was powerless against the onslaught of the wind.

The helicopter tumbled in the wind like a leaf, and Junjue desperately adjusted its altitude and direction, trying to break free from the sudden storm.

He felt his body being violently shaken, and his vision blurred. At that moment, he began to regret not returning to the fortress sooner and not noticing the change in the sky.

Just when he thought he could no longer escape, the helicopter was suddenly propelled by a powerful force and soared upwards.

The Duke's eyes widened in shock as he found himself drawn to a beam of light. What was this? He couldn't help but wonder.

As the beam of light accelerated its rotation, the Lord witnessed an incredible sight. His helicopter was drawn into a massive vortex, and at its center was his fortress.

The helicopter spun endlessly in the vortex, and the Duke felt himself being pulled by an immense force, as if the whole world was trembling. He saw the magnificent view of the fortress, towering into the clouds like a colossal guardian.

Gradually, the helicopter slowly landed on the hilltop of the fortress. The Duke stepped out of the cabin and was awestruck by the sight before him.

He saw dark clouds gathering in the sky, with lightning and thunder, but at the same time, he saw the magnificent view of the fortress, which gave him a strange sense of peace.

Junjue knew that he had finally returned to where he belonged, and his sense of security had returned to him.

Standing atop the fortress, feeling the thunder and storm beneath the dark clouds, he knew he was safe this time.

Although it wouldn't kill him, he was still quite happy as long as nothing was damaged.

Looking at the terrifying weather, the Duke immediately put the helicopter into his spatial storage. Suddenly, his eyes narrowed, revealing a look of shock.

He was astonished to see several thousand people in the mountaintop shelters, some four or five hundred meters high. Looking up at the other nine peaks, he saw that each of the dozens of shelters on each summit was filled with people, and everyone there was carrying an enormous backpack, fleeing for their lives!

Fortunately, I had the foresight to build dozens of shelters at 7,600 meters on each of the ten mountain peaks, which could provide shelter from the wind and rain. There were also many bunk beds inside, so there were hundreds of shelters on the ten mountain peaks.

Although the shelters are not very big, each one is only four or five hundred square meters, but it's still better than having nothing to cover at all!

Furthermore, the shelter has toilets and water, and you can freely collect and place items within a six-kilometer radius, and you can also freely add water for them.

Anyway, he didn't have much of anything except for river water. The river water, with its more than three hundred layers of folded space, was enough for a very, very long time.

It seems that these people are also aware that these are the ten highest mountains in the entire capital. If these mountains are submerged by a tsunami, then there will be no place in the entire capital that will not be submerged.

These people must have been very well prepared. Each of them carried so many supplies and climbed a mountain 7,800 meters high to get here. It must have taken them quite a while!

Seeing that everyone had food and drink, Junjue quickly went to the hidden door lock, opened it, and then used his fingerprint to enter through the six heavy doors, returning to his post-apocalyptic fortress.

Upon reaching the central control core, press the lift button on the Doomsday Fortress control panel to slowly lower it underground.

When it returned to a depth of eighty meters underground, an invisible protective layer was laid over the entire fortress.

No one knew that the massive fortress had vanished, as if it had never existed.

After tidying up everything, Junyue returned to his room, closed the door, and went to brush his teeth and wash his face.

Yesterday, I slept until after 2 a.m. on the river. When I got back, I was almost blown away by the strong wind. Luckily, there were things near my fortress to reduce wind force and resist earthquakes, otherwise it would have really destroyed a helicopter.

After a quick shower, brushing my teeth and washing my face, I looked at the room, which was over 100 square meters, and the environment was quite nice!

I need to survive in this capital city until the acid rains stop, then I'll have to take advantage of the downpours to do some free shopping, otherwise the three months of torrential rains will be over.

If floods or tsunamis come, everything will be submerged. With the mindset of not wasting anything, why not take advantage of it?

He wants to stockpile a lot of supplies, including food, lodging, and even steel and cement. He wants to build a super invincible base in ten years. Without those buildings, nothing will work!
