Chapter 102: In the North Cemetery

Chapter 102: In the North Cemetery

No wonder this golden male insect was willing to buy him back. The female insect silently withdrew her gaze. With the bone structure of the female slave, she would probably be able to play with him for a long time after buying him back.

The two insects walked at a fast speed and soon disappeared from their sight. Approaching the door, the male insect swiped the gold card and then boarded the aircraft with the female slave.

"My Lord, you just swiped three million from my card." Morris took off his black robe, glanced at his computer and spoke.

Adrian was still setting the direction of the aircraft. He entered the destination and walked over to sit next to Morris.

"Only three million?" Edrien tossed the emerald in his hand. The inside of the emerald was crystal clear, dotted with bright snowflake-like lights, floating up and down from time to time with the movement of the aircraft.

"I heard that this is a sacred stone. With the blessing of the insect god, it can cure diseases and prevent disasters. Wearing it can extend your life by hundreds of years." Adrien said, his eyes narrowed. "I didn't expect it to cost only three million. I'm really lucky."

Morris opened his lips slightly and then closed them again. He leaned against the window, tilted his head to one side, and numbly praised, "My lord, you are so lucky."

This is just an ordinary emerald. It is not even finely processed, despite its claim of being natural. Its biggest highlight is that it has some useless light spots stuffed inside to attract male insect customers, so only insects who don't know the goods will buy it.

It actually costs three million. Morris thought secretly, what a rip-off.

"Morris, do you want it?" Edrian came over and opened his hand. The emerald green gem fell into his palm. "I can give it to you."

Morris: "..."

He had no interest in these gemstone jewellery, not to mention that he had to pay for the gemstones with his own credit card.

Morris turned his head and saw the pure green gemstone in Edrien's hand. The light inside floated down and for a moment it seemed to overlap with the color of Edrien's pupils.

It doesn't seem so useless.

"Thank you, my lord, you are so generous." Morris took the gem, put it in his pocket, and said the superficial words according to the procedure.

That's three million.

"Wear it well. This kind of gem is rare." Adrian reminded him. He took his eyes away from Morris's shirt pocket and said with a sad tone, "I'll come here again one day and buy one for myself."

Morris: "..."

"My lord, there are female soldiers guarding the northern cemetery. We landed at the edge of the forest in City A." Morris turned on the computer and displayed the real-time map. "There is a secret passage leading directly into the cemetery. Remember to follow me closely."

Adrian saw the pictures flashing on the computer screen. Morris showed him the terrain in the forest and circled the location where the secret passage was hidden.

Adrian glanced at Morris halfway through, and Morris's expression remained calm as he said this, as if he was just carrying out a high-level mission.

Seeing this, Adrien did not ask any questions.

Morris knew the situation in the North Cemetery so well that he had even found a secret passage leading to it. Even the head of the army couldn't easily get this information. Morris...maybe he was also secretly planning something.

"Okay, I know."

Adrian still had the mask on his face, with small eyes and a flat nose, completely different from his previous appearance. He gave the mask to Morris, but decided to continue using the mask he had just made.

It took nearly four hours for the aircraft to reach the forest near City A. Adrian slept next to Morris, and when he woke up it was already 1:15 in the morning.

The forest here was densely populated with old trees, vines climbing up, and spider webs forming in between. As Edrian walked inside, he heard the low howling of some alien beasts in the distance.

Perhaps it is because of the presence of alien beasts that male and female insects rarely approach this area.

Edrian did not dare to speak, lest he disturb the herd of strange beasts gathered in the forest. Morris walked in front of Edrian, slowing down his pace, and led Edrian slowly through the forest passage, and finally squeezed into a narrow cave.

Everything in front of Adrian was pitch black. After entering the cave, the air became thinner. He reached out and touched the side. It was wet and sticky, with a faint strange smell of rotting grass and wood.

Adrian wiped his hands casually and continued to follow Morris. About ten minutes later, Adrian's oppressed body suddenly relaxed and his vision became brighter.

"My Lord, this is the outer layer of the imperial mausoleum. The innermost part is the mausoleum of successive generations of insect emperors."

Adrian looked around. The interior decoration of the imperial mausoleum was far from being as luxurious and exquisite as that of the imperial palace. The walls were gray and white, and ancient torches were still used on them. The grass and fuel used to burn had long since turned to black dust.

Adrian did not observe carefully. He and Morris walked through the corridor in the cemetery and walked quickly towards the tombs of successive insect emperors.

In addition to the stone door, there was another layer of brand new mechanical locks installed outside the Insect Emperor's mausoleum. Morris walked forward and entered the password skillfully. After a few seconds, the mechanical lock opened automatically and the stone door moved back inwards.

Adrian walked in and saw an old coffin.

The coffin was made of simple materials, just solid wood with a few long nails nailed on it, and there were no royal patterns carved on the surface. Perhaps because of the long time and the humid air in the cemetery, the four corners of the coffin turned black and the solid wood also showed signs of decay.

"This is the coffin of the late emperor. It is almost rotten," Morris said.

The air was filled with a certain smell of staleness and decay. Morris's gaze paused on the coffin for a few seconds, then turned to the other side: "Now the Insect Emperor is building a mausoleum for himself. His tomb coffin was completed a few months ago and is also here."

Adrian shifted his gaze, and was somewhat surprised when he heard this: "He placed his coffin here?"

The tombs of the previous Insect Emperors covered a large area, at least more than fifty square kilometers. But the current Insect Emperor was willing to place his coffin in the same tomb with the previous emperor.

Morris sneered: "Who knows."

Adrian walked in the corridor. As he walked forward, he heard some subtle sounds as he approached the wall. They came from far away and were different from the language of the Zerg.

[Crush! Do you like big gems? I'll take the gems off its body and give them to you!]
