Chapter 104 Corpse in the Coffin

Chapter 104 Corpse in the Coffin

Adrian stared at it for a few seconds. This kind of black crystal looked thin and transparent, but it was actually hard and ugly. Adrian observed from above for a while, but did not peek into the scene inside the black crystal from the outside.

This is an empty coffin.

Edrien had heard of the crystal coffin before. The Insect Emperor had built this coffin specifically for himself, using millions of insect power.

Every insect that is about to die of illness is afraid of death. The Insect King believes that he has made great achievements. When he built this coffin, he emptied all the oxygen inside to better preserve his body.

The pure black crystal buried several kilometers below the sea has the effect of curing diseases and keeping corpses intact for thousands of years.

In the first few years, the Insect Emperor tried to use black crystals to cure his hidden illness, but the effect was minimal. Now he uses these black crystals to build a giant coffin for himself.

Black crystal cannot cure all diseases, but it can preserve human remains. Adrian can be sure of this.

When he ascended the throne in his previous life, he placed Morris's body in a black crystal coffin. Until Edrien was about to die, Morris's body did not show any signs of decay.

At that time, more than a year had passed since his death.

"My Lord?" Morris' voice rang in Adrian's ears. Adrian came back to his senses and saw Morris frowning at him. "What's wrong with you?"

Adrian took his hand back, stepped back a few steps, and said, "It's okay. This crystal coffin is too big. This is the first time I've seen such a big coffin."

Morris snorted nonchalantly, "The coffin of the Insect Emperor must be made of the best materials and structures."

"Hmm..." Adrian seemed to be thinking about something. He suddenly asked Morris, "What kind of coffin do you think I will use when I die?"

Morris: "..."

"I definitely don't have the same good treatment as the Insect King, sleeping in a crystal coffin like this." Edrien put his hands in his pockets, his eyes swept across the surface of the crystal coffin inch by inch, "I just want a small coffin."

Morris was somewhat surprised by this statement. Edrien was a picky and difficult male insect, who wanted the best of everything, but now he didn't care about the coffin.

He laughed and said, "My Lord, why do you need a small coffin? A small coffin can't hold many diamonds and jewelry."

"Why would I install them?" Edrien frowned and glanced at Morris. He opened his lips slightly and said, "It's enough to have space for you and me."

Morris' smile froze: "My Lord, do you want to be buried with me?"

"Why? No?" Edrien walked to the crystal coffin, stopped in the middle, and gestured to Morris about the size of his coffin. "It should be about this size. It has to be about the same width as this coffin, otherwise it won't fit."

Morris looked at Edrian's figure. The male insect's tone of voice always fluctuated when he spoke. Now he was bending over in front of the coffin and measuring it, which inexplicably revealed a sense of seriousness.

"My Lord, the life span of the Zerg starts at a hundred years, and you are only twenty-two." Morris raised the corner of his lips towards Edrien. He walked forward and held Edrien's hand, interlocking their fingers. "Before you see the coffin, there are still many things you need to do with me."

Adrian's fingertips felt slightly cold, and his eyelashes fluttered as he saw Morris press his palm to his abdomen.

"Like raising some baby bugs," Morris said softly.

The skin under his palm was warm, moving slightly with his breathing. Adrian curled his fingers unconsciously, as if he felt the breath of life from them for a moment.

"You're really impatient." Adrian hooked Morris's shirt, then pulled his hand back and pretended to continue studying the coffin in front of him. "I'm just saying, who has the time to build a coffin for themselves in advance?"

Morris laughed, looked at Edrian's slightly red earlobe, and stopped talking.

At first, Adrian could not see anything different about the coffin. Six of the forty-seven rubies on the coffin had been dug out by the pink ball, some were dug out in their entirety, and some were pulled out in half. The violent method left several deep pits and scratches on the black crystal surface.

Adrian picked up the rubies that had been carelessly thrown away and said, "Morris, these rubies..."

Morris was standing behind Edrian. He sensed something and suddenly reached out and pulled Edrian behind him.

The spiritual power that surged in from outside collided directly with Morris's charge. An explosion sounded, and the shock wave shook the entire ground.

Seeing this, Adrian quickly hid behind the crystal coffin. He bent down and secretly observed the situation outside from the corner.

Morris, with the blank mask still on his face, looked up into the sky and saw the white and gold patterns on the female insect's hind wings.

He smiled and said, "Admiral Colin."

Colin was still in his military uniform. He flapped his wings and looked down for a moment before his blue eyes stopped in mid-air. "You dare to steal in the imperial mausoleum? You're courting death."

Hearing this, Adrian looked at the rubies in his hand. He was silent for a few seconds and stuffed all the rubies into his shirt pocket.

Morris pressed the mask on his face. Without saying a word, he took the mental spike that Colin threw from the sky head-on.

There were several more explosions. Colin and Morris flew in the limited space of the cemetery, their wings carving cracks on the wall.

Colin looked at the wings behind Morris. Morris' wings were completely black, covered with a layer of black and gold pattern totem.

Colin frowned slowly.

Adrian hid in the corner with his head in his hands. The battle above was fierce, and huge rocks fell from time to time. Fortunately, Morris and Colin both paid attention to the situation of the crystal coffin and moved the fighting site to the edge near the gate.

"Your Excellency, we have received news from His Majesty that they have arrived near the Imperial Mausoleum." Fabian's voice suddenly rang out from the micro-earphone that Edrien was wearing. "The Tenth Army and Sean have already joined forces. They have entered the cemetery in advance."

Adrian covered his right ear and said, "Okay, let's go now."

The sound from the tiny earphones disappeared instantly, along with the sound of the electrical current.

The rubble above was still falling. Adrian stuck to the wall and found the escape location that Morris had told him about. He used his mental power to blast open the entire stone wall.

He whistled at Morris and entered the secret passage hidden by the stone wall first. Morris fell down quickly and opened the crystal coffin below as he left.

Colin followed closely behind. His eyes trembled, and he immediately redirected his mental power to catch the crystal coffin that was falling down.

After all, it was a few seconds too late. The crystal coffin hit the ground with a heavy sound, and most of the coffin was smashed into pieces.

The dust in the cave floated up, and Colin was almost cut on the cheek by the splashing crystal fragments. He stopped in front of the crystal coffin, his face gradually turning cold.

The troops had already stopped near the cemetery. Colin was about to leave when he heard a sound of breaking from the crystal coffin.

Colin stopped and turned around, and saw a corpse falling out of the half-cracked crystal coffin.
