Chapter 313: Crack in the Sky
Yu Zhuo had not expected Zhi Lan to ask so directly. The dragon's way of speaking and his tone were too straightforward, without any concealment or subtlety.
"I heard it." Yu Zhuo put down his bowl and spoon and did not eat the food on the table. "Not only did I hear it, I also saw... a system?"
Zhi Lan's fingers holding the porcelain spoon gradually increased in strength: "How did you see that? He said I was the only host."
He hid his emotions very well when he spoke, but Yuzhuo still heard something unusual in his words.
Yu Zhuo tapped the table with his fingertips and said, "I also had a system before, but he left after completing the mission, so I can also see the existence of some systems now."
"…You have it too?"
"Yes, that's a tribulation system. It says that if I survive the sea, my mission is complete." Yu Zhuo squinted and said nonsense, "I have to thank you for saving me, so I can complete the mission indirectly."
Zhi Lan listened silently, his facial expression changing slightly, his brows furrowed, not indicating whether he believed it or not.
"Can I ask you a question?"
Yu Zhuo looked at him and said, "You tell me."
"What does my system look like?" Zhi Lan sat up straight and asked, "Appearance. What does it look like?"
After saying this, Xi Lan seemed to realize that something was wrong. He added, "I'm sorry, I can't see him, and he has never told me what he looks like... I'm just a little curious."
"It's okay. It's not something that can't be said." Yu Zhuo answered simply. All the small systems in the world are the same. He can tell their characteristics with his eyes closed.
"It's just a small, pure silver ball. Its size is about the same as your two palms."
"Silver..." Zhi Lan thought for a moment, and then asked, "Does he have hair on his body?"
"..." Yu Zhuo was silent for a moment, as if he didn't understand why Zhi Lan asked this. "No. The system's surface is made of machinery. At most, it will rust, but it won't grow hair."
"Is that so..." Zhi Lan groaned for a moment, then said, "Thank you, I understand."
Yu Zhuo was silent for a moment, then said, "Do you know what your system does? He may have ulterior motives in approaching you."
"I don't know, and I don't care." Zhi Lan finally scooped out some porridge from his bowl and ate it. He said in a calm tone, "It's enough for him to be with me."
Even though Yu Zhuo was slow to react, he could still detect something special in Zhi Lan's words. Zhi Lan and the silver system seemed to have a particularly unusual relationship.
And the silver system has energy related to the main system...
Yuzhuo roughly guessed some hidden relationship between them, but felt suspicious and unconvinced.
"Why are you here alone?" Yu Zhuo retracted his gaze and did not ask any more questions about the system. He changed the subject and said, "I just looked around. The castle you live in is the only one within a few hundred miles. You are also the only one here."
Zhi Lan closed his eyes and said, "I am ill and need to rest here."
Yu Zhuo raised his eyebrows: "Are you alone?"
"Um."
There was a dull expression in Zhi Lan's eyes and brows. Yu Zhuo looked at him for a long while, then tactfully decided not to ask any further questions.
What kind of illness required him to be sent to such a remote place for recuperation? And what kind of illness required him to be left here alone?
There is no trace of human activity within hundreds of miles. This is an isolated island and also a long-abandoned castle.
Yu Zhuo glanced around. The leaves of the trees had turned yellow and there were no birds. He saw a clue from the withered flowers and plants outside the window.
Maybe Zhi Lan is not staying here to recuperate, he may... be an orphan abandoned here.

At night, Yu Zhuo returned to his room to rest as usual. He talked to Zhi Lan for a few words and spent most of the rest of the time secretly observing the movements of the silver system.
The ability of that system was very strange. Yu Zhuo had used his own detector to test him in all aspects, but he could not find out what special abilities he had.
This system is closely connected to the main system, and his abilities are most likely related to the main system.
Yu Zhuo propped up his chin and looked out the window. The window was not closed at night, and the cold wind blew in from the forest outside, blowing on Yu Zhuo's face, causing a sharp pain like a knife.
Yu Zhuo used the pain to stay awake. The energy in his body was still being consumed rapidly, and he had no control over how long he stayed here.
But no matter what... he wanted to take this opportunity to figure out the relationship between Zhi Lan and the main system.
Yu Zhuo frowned. Zhi Lan was a dragon, and the main system was located in outer space, in charge of all the small systems.
How did they get in touch?
Yu Zhuo was thinking, and when he looked up, he suddenly saw a crack in the night sky above. The originally dark and heavy night seemed to be split by a sharp weapon, and a white light projected into the crack, spreading a strange pure white channel on the ground.
Yu Zhuo's pupils trembled, he looked up and confirmed that tiny debris was falling from the crack in the darkness.
These are small particles from outer space, and they are actually falling into this world through the cracks.
…The sky cracked.
Yu Zhuo looked at the scene in the sky and quickly came to a conclusion.
Every world has its own time and limit of existence. This dragon world must have existed for countless years, and now the energy of the world is about to be exhausted, and the sky is cracking.
Initially, only small particles from outer space will fall into the cracks of this world. As the energy of the world reaches its limit and its defenses weaken, this world will be torn apart under pressure and eventually destroyed.
This is what happens to all small worlds eventually.
The old world is destroyed, and after many years of reorganization, a new world will be born.
This is the rule of the world.
Yuzhuo looked at it for a moment, then reached out to close the window.
The cracks in the white light outside were getting bigger and bigger. Yu Zhuo looked in there and suddenly saw a silver light rushing towards the crack in the sky.
The light on it was faint, and it was soon submerged in the white light.
Yu Zhuo was a little surprised. He watched quietly by the window and saw that after about half an hour, the wound in the sky crack slowly healed, the white light disappeared, and the surrounding darkness returned to its original tranquility.
Yu Zhuo stared at the silver light. The pure silver sphere fell from the sky after the cracks were repaired. He set the direction in the air and drilled into the room on the third floor in the center of the castle.
Yu Zhuo followed his flight trajectory and determined the last place where he disappeared - that was Zhi Lan's room.
Yu Zhuo glanced downstairs, and after a moment of silence, he closed the curtains as if he hadn't seen anything.
