Chapter 82: Hiding

Chapter 82: Hiding

Adrian didn't comment. He raised his fingertips and unbuttoned the top button of Morris's shirt. "Why do you ask?"

Morris easily perceived Adrian's intention. He remained stiff and motionless, and his mind began to recall the possibility that he might be contaminated with the smell.

He didn't smoke today so there was no way he would smell like cigarettes. The only thing he was exposed to was the pheromones in the office...but it was now nearly eight hours past noon, and even if Adrian had a keen nose, he wouldn't be able to smell anything.

Morris calmed down and let Edrien's hands rub all over his body, his tone still calm: "My Lord, there is a training in the military today, so I will..."

"I had a cigarette." Eddie calmly replied to Morris's words. He had reached his right hand into Morris's military jacket and pulled out a box of cigarettes from the inconspicuous lining.

Morris: "..."

Adrian seemed to be seeing this kind of thing for the first time. He tossed the cigarette box in his palm and studied it seriously: "Hmm...Chongxing brand cigars, specially designed for female insects, unique flavor, different taste..."

Morris slowly curled his fingers and clenched them. His thin lips opened and when Adrian looked over, he suddenly explained, "My Lord, this is not my cigarette. I never smoke."

He had investigated Adrian earlier. Adrian was a delicate and well-behaved male insect who always treated every female insect by royal standards.

In the insect tribe, smoking is a big minus for female insects. Female insects with the habit of smoking are always disliked by male insects, not to mention that Morris's appearance is not the type that male insects would easily like.

Morris frowned. His past life of laxity was a thing of the past. Now he was a very sensible female insect. He would not let this box of cigarettes ruin the good image he had worked so hard to create in front of Adrian.

Seeing Morris lower his eyes and remain silent, Adrian raised his eyebrows and asked, "Really? Whose is this?"

"Captain Colin gave it to me," Morris said calmly.

Adrian's smile froze: "...Who gave it to you?"

Morris raised his eyelids and looked at Adrian. He was silent for a few seconds, then continued, "He gave it to me."

Adrian: “…”

Adrian knew exactly what kind of person Morris was. In his previous life, he also liked to pretend in front of Adrian. Later, when the war broke out, every time he had a conflict with Adrian, he would come back with a strong smell of cigarettes, as if he was deliberately trying to make Adrian unhappy.

But Adrian did not expect Morris to pass the blame to Colin so easily.

Although the Seventh Army and the Tenth Army were in a competitive relationship within the military, Morris and Colin had a close personal relationship and might be considered good friends to some extent.

But in the end they each served their own masters, and after death they still went their separate ways.

Adrian certainly didn't believe Morris's lies. He said cryptically, "So you don't smoke anymore?"

Morris: No.

"Okay." Adrian threw the box of cigarettes in his hand into the drawer. "Since you can't use them, I'll put them away. Colonel Colin is quite generous to you. This box of cigarettes is not cheap, right? It looks like a big brand."

Of course it’s a big brand.

Morris was not the kind of person who would compromise himself. He would use the best of everything. This box of cigarettes was worth half a month's salary for him.

Morris's eyes flashed across Adrian's drawer, and then he lowered his eyes to hide his emotions: "I don't know."

Adrian smiled and narrowed his eyes. He buttoned up Morris's shirt and said, "Go take a shower. You've been tired all day."

Morris hummed and stood up. When he reached the door, he turned around and asked, "My Lord, will you sleep with me tonight?"

Adrian was a little confused when he heard this: "Yeah, what else?"

"Nothing." Morris finally felt a little happier. He said, "I'll prepare it in advance."

Adrian: “…”

Morris closed the door, and the sound of his footsteps faded away, and then quickly died away as he went down the stairs.

Adrian withdrew his gaze, leaned against the wall behind him, and casually scratched his white hair which had become messy again without knowing when.

The smiles on the surface faded, revealing a cool light underneath. Adrien tapped the computer screen with his fingers, neither light nor heavy, and frowned as he recalled the pheromone smell he had just smelled on Morris.

He had already left his pheromones around Morris' collar on the aircraft. Adrian controlled the amount just right so that Morris wouldn't easily notice it, nor would it be easily wiped away by the passing wind.

When Morris returned, there was indeed some remnant of Adrian's pheromones on his body, but in addition, there were also some pheromones from other male insects mixed in.

The smell was familiar. Edrian had come into contact with Sean a lot in his life, and he could detect even the faintest smell quickly.

Sean...

Adrian tightly grasped the cover of the white book that he had hidden under the quilt and slowly lowered his eyes.

*

Morris spent a short time in the bathroom washing up. The warm water flowed down his skin, and he looked behind himself in the mirror amid the rising mist.

The color of his insect pattern was bright, and even though he had been caressed not long ago, the stimulation of pheromones during the day was still difficult to relieve.

Morris unconsciously reached out and touched the insect pattern on his back. The area covered by his insect pattern was much larger than that of ordinary female insects, climbing down from the neck, near the spine, and finally even reaching the edge of the coccyx.

The insect pattern, which should have been completely black, was now carved with silky gold edges that occasionally shone. The resulting pattern was like an unknown divine seal, flowing from the top and gathering at both ends, ultimately forming an invincible imperial pattern.

Morris felt the stinging pain inside the insect pattern. He stared at the insect pattern behind him through the white mist. The cold light at the bottom of his eyes appeared for only a few seconds before being hidden again.

"Rehirobia will guide you in the direction you came from... Don't forget, that is your hometown..."

Morris raised his head, the rising hot water washed over his skin, and also soaked the Rehirobia pattern on his back, causing it to burn and hurt.

Morris frowned. He calculated the time for washing up, turned off the bathroom heater and went out after a few minutes.

He took off his military uniform and threw it on the chair. Morris put them in the designated place, then picked up the bathrobe next to him, wrapped himself up simply and prepared to go upstairs.

The small robot next to him was still cleaning the room. Morris took a look at it and paused as he stepped onto the stairs, as if he had just remembered something.

Morris was silent for a few seconds and went back into the bathroom.
