Chapter 188 Liwang Temple: Destined Person
At around six o'clock the next morning, Li Ran and the other two were already waiting at the gate of Liwang Temple.
Liwang Temple is near the ancient city of Wangqi, not far from the courtyard where Li Ran lives.
When we got there in the morning, there were already quite a few people waiting outside. They all came here because of its reputation.
In the early morning, the sound of monks chanting sutras could be heard from the temple, and occasionally there were some insects and birds chirping in the distance, which made people feel very comfortable.
At exactly seven o'clock, the main gate of Liwang Temple opened, and it seemed as if golden light was squeezing out from the crack in the door.
Li Ran opened her cherry lips slightly and stared straight ahead.
The moment the temple door was completely opened, Li Ran saw clearly that the golden light was the rising sun.
A young monk in a monk's robe came out from the door, looking extremely peaceful.
"Dear donors, thank you for waiting. Thank you for coming to witness the re-examination of the Liwang Temple. Now you can enter the temple."
A man in a black suit in the crowd raised his hand. "Excuse me, I heard before that the abbot will select people with predestined relationships. What is the selection method?"
The young monk smiled gently, "This donor is a predestined person. He will be chosen naturally when the time comes. There is no need to force it."
The man in the black suit nodded helplessly.
Li Ran was quite open-minded. If she was lucky enough to become the destined person, of course it would be fine. But if that person was not her, it didn't matter either. The only one who was troubled was herself, and those who were waiting for her to give an answer would never be anxious.
The three of them entered Liwang Temple together.
Like all temples in China, the buildings in Liwang Temple are standard Buddhist buildings, but they have a more aged feel.
The moment he stepped through the door, Li Ran seemed to have come to another world.
She didn't know why, but she felt that this temple made her feel comfortable, just like a baby feels comfortable in its mother's arms.
The faint scent of Buddhist incense surrounded her, and the Buddha statues around her seemed to be looking at her.
She likes this place so much that she even likes a blade of grass by the roadside.
After walking for a while, the three of them came to the dining hall of Liwang Temple. A little monk came out with a smile and asked the three of them.
"Three donors, this temple provides vegetarian food. If you need any, you can come in and have a taste."
Although they had eaten breakfast before setting out, the three of them felt their stomachs growling when they heard the little monk's words.
Li Ran blushed slightly, "Thank you very much."
The little monk shook his head, "You're welcome! Come with me!"
The young monk took them to a small room with a dining table and three chairs.
The meal was simple, but Li Ran was very satisfied with the food.
After dinner, when they were about to leave, they saw the young monk standing outside the temple and knocked on the door.
"Lady donor, do you have time to go with me to the abbot's place?"
Li Ran seemed to be knocked unconscious by a pie that fell from the sky.
Did she hear it right? Go see the abbot?! Could it be that she is the destined one?!
